Here we are again! Some of us been here a while & finding it hard ttc our second, but we've been supporting each other and chatting since June, so let's carry on!

Can I make suggestion? To recap now, & to help us all keep up as thread gets long and new people join, how about we all put quick recap at end of each new message (or once a day if posting lots back and fwd as we do sometimes?!) (bit like email signature!) with the vital stats and anything else you want to add (like if IVF for example) so mine is:

36
DS age 3
Ttc#2 since Jan/Feb (early mc in Aug)
Af/bfp due Oct 12th

Might be a bit of a pain typing it each time but would help everyone know where we're coming from? Good luck all for another cycle, we can do it!

So I'm cd14 today. Have had loads of EWCM for last 4 days but nothing on OPK - hardly even a second line at all. Temps still really low so definitely not ovulated yet. DH goes away with work on Monday for a week so feeling really anxious that we're going to miss this month. Hurry up egg!!

Fillybee · 06/10/2017 23:28

@elles how did it go telling your other half?!

@sodasoda I hear the spermies can live 5 days so if you go for it Sunday night you should have chance of catching it?!

Impatientmummy36 · 07/10/2017 07:54

I am very shocked but just had a positive test...

I'm happy of course but terrified after the loss 2 months ago. I know rationally that there's every chance it will be fine but not sure I'll allow myself to relax for a while longer! X

KashyKash · 07/10/2017 08:18

Congratulations @impatientmummy36!! That is wonderful news, I'm very happy for you. I'm sure this time everything will be just fine but of course it will be impossible not to worry. I'll keep everything crossed for a sticky one this time xx

Impatientmummy36 · 07/10/2017 08:50

Thank you ladies xxx

Kashy hope you're ok, I know you said you had af symptoms but for what it's worth both months I've conceived I've had the usual af symptoms. It's so similar its cruel x

KashyKash · 07/10/2017 09:23

Thanks @Impatient, hopefully it'll be the same for me too. I'm due on Tuesday but just assuming af is coming so I don't get my hopes up. Take care of yourself x

LopeyLopez · 07/10/2017 09:32

Wow, congratulations June, Elles and impatient!! I haven’t been able to read much on here this week so just catching up....great news!

I’m 3 dpo - had late ovulation this month so didn’t dtd at the right time as much as usual. Two nights in a row I was really up for it - as in I really actually felt like it as well as it being the right time to make a baby! - but oh was too tired!! 😡 and those nights would have been perfect timing. Oh well.

So not much hope this month. Ready for cycle 9.....😞

ElephantAndBird · 07/10/2017 10:44

Congratulations @Impatientmummy36 !! Lovely news. Best of luck and hoping for a sticky one.

MynameisJune · 07/10/2017 19:32

Congratulations impatient wonderful news. I know you must be feeling very anxious but try to remember each pregnancy is different and this one has every chance of a successful outcome.

We’re waiting on the June AN thread when you feel up to it.

Impatientmummy36 · 07/10/2017 20:15

Thank you all xxx

June thanks and you're absolutely right, and we've all on this thread had a first baby already so there's no better proof it can be fine!! x

Haven't logged on for a few days, and more bfps! Fab news congrats to each of you, did anyone do anything different this month?

@lopey bummer that your efforts weren't best timed, I find it so hard to get in the mood these days, I just want to sleep not shag!

I think I'm 6 or 7 days po I've started taking vitamins this week to see if it helps keeps some of the nasty germs away which I'm always getting from dd but I just remembered last time when ttc, vitamins messed up my ovulation and made my cycles extra long so may ditch them if it happens again

Cariad2014 · 07/10/2017 20:29

Enormous congratulations Impatient. This is fabulous fabulous news. I am absolutely delighted for you. I really hope this is IT for you. Thank you for all the support you have shown on this thread - those in the June AN group will no doubt be very lucky to have you. Xxxx

Cariad2014 · 07/10/2017 20:32

Solidarity with anyone else struggling. I’m 14dpo today and weirdly AF isn’t here but I’m definitely not upduffed.

I’ve spent much of my spare time over the past few days googling secondary infertility and how to raise an only child. I really hope I manage to get upduffed before DS starts requesting a sibling as I know that will break my heart.

KashyKash · 07/10/2017 21:04

Cariad it's funny you said that as just this morning my ds told me he'd like a sister, it was kind of heartbreaking. Unfortunately my pre af spotting has started this evening so I'm pretty sure I'm out this month. It's just so disheartening that this happens month after month, ugh. I'm at work this evening too to make things worse.

ElephantAndBird · 07/10/2017 21:16

to both @Cariad2014 and @KashyKash. I hope it happens soon for both of you.

ElephantAndBird · 07/10/2017 21:16

Weird, that was supposed to be FlowersFlowers

Cariad2014 · 07/10/2017 22:02

Thank you Elephant.

Kashy - sorry to hear you’re having such a tough time as well. I clearly invoked the law of sod in my last message as AF is now here!

Unless anyone objections, I might start a November thread.

Cariad2014 · 07/10/2017 22:13

New thread is now here, so if anyone is unlucky enough not to get their BFP in October, please do come and join me: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/3054238-TTC-2-November-BFPs

Impatientmummy36 · 07/10/2017 22:14

Cariad thank you love xxxx and you too, you've been really supportive and I'm rooting for you to conceive very very soon. Sorry af has come it's just really really shit every time. Kashy as well :(

My little boy has been telling people for at least a year that he's getting a baby brother soon! He just really wants one. I won't tell him unless I can get to 12 weeks at least.

Beansprout I've been having acupuncture this cycle, 3 sessions so far, that's the only thing. I have no idea if that made any difference of course, but willing to suspend disbelief as was getting a tad desperate. She's a Chinese doctor and has a wall full of baby photos from clients so....She says she'll change the focus now for miscarriage prevention which is obviously a worry after last time. Good luck to you, I hope it's your month x

KashyKash · 07/10/2017 22:16

Thanks @elephant.

Good idea @cariad, I will join your November thread in a few days I'm sure. Sorry about af arriving, I hope you can find something nice to do with the rest of the weekend to take your mind off it x x

Cariad2014 · 07/10/2017 22:45

Thank you Kashy and Impatient. I really hope you don’t end up joining me Kashy. Long term ttc is miserable. Xxxx

Sodasoda · 08/10/2017 11:31

Congratulations impatient!

Finally got my positive opk yesterday so managed to DTD twice! A record for quite a while! I think today will be ovulation day going on previous so will also do it today and then DH is away for a week with work so hopefully that covers us? If we can manage it we may try Monday morning before DD gets up but we may be burnt out by then! Wink
