I just want to check something as the internet can't seem to give me one straight answer. When you get a positive opk, you will ovulate 12-36 hours later. Once you've ovulated, you have up to 24 hours to bd and try and catch the egg before it dies or whatever. Is that correct? If so, if I've had 2 positive opk's yesterday and one positive and one negative opk today and I bd'd today, have I left it too late or am I covered? My fertility app says I'm in my fertile window and the last day is tomorrow but I don't trust it as far as I can throw it tbh lol

Hi lilypad
My understanding is the same as yours which is that once you get a positive OPK you should ovulate 12-36 hours later. Bit of a guessing game if you don't temp (I don't) as a temp shift it the only way to pinpoint when you ovulated.

Everything I've read suggests it's better to DTD in the days leading up to the positive OPK and the day of the positive so the sperm is in place ready for the egg. I'm just beginning my TWW at the mo. Got a positive OPK Monday and DTD Sun night, Tues morn, & Weds morn. Going off previous cycles I think I ovulate 2 days after my positive OPK.

With regards to fertility apps they go off the info you give them so if you inputted a positive OPK it will change your fertile window based on this. I use Ovia and whenever I input a pos OPK it changed my fertile window so my fertile window ends the following day.
