Hi,
Just wondering just that really.

I hear all these stories of people "knowing" they were pregnant and having symptoms way before a positive test.

In reality when did you guys really begin to get symptoms and in wjat order did they appear?

I know everyone will be a bit different but I'm interested in your stories.
Xx

Second time round was much more obvious as I just knew even though I got negatives for a week after period was due.

But first time round I was just hopeful and over thinking every twinge. By 6 weeks sickness kicked in.

Beansprout30 · 13/09/2017 21:55

I didn't feel any different until about six weeks

Papillion86 · 13/09/2017 22:03

I felt sick and exhausted from the day AF was due. Honestly I just knew something was different

AGnu · 13/09/2017 22:15

CD21. Every time. Pregnancy 1 I had sudden unexplained diarrhoea that disappeared as quickly as it came. Really random & within an hour I went from fine to passing out & back to fine again. Pregnancy 2 I just had an hour or so of feeling dizzy & not quite right & then nothing for 2 weeks until that same feeling came back & got worse. The next 2 pregnancies ended between week 4 & 5 but from CD21 I was dizzy, nauseated & able to smell absolutely everything right until an hour or 2 before the bleeding started. Pregnancy 5 started off the same as 3&4 with the awful dizziness & nausea that hit me like a ton of bricks on CD21 so I fully expected it to go the same way... I'm now 30w & a whole 6 weeks free of the dizziness & nausea! Now it's just the constant exhaustion & bump-ache... Pregnancy is such a beautiful time... Hmm

My boobs killed before my bfp. Never hurt like that before af. That's when I knew something wasn't right.

Currently trying for number 2 and keep looking out for boob ache Grin

2 weeks before positive test. Lightheaded, dizzy, and couldn't sleep. I thought it was a virus, particularly when the first test was negative.

Metalhead · 14/09/2017 07:38

Pre-AF type cramps on and off for the first couple of weeks, then all-day nausea and tiredness from 6 weeks. IME anything you experience before AF is due can just as well be that - pre-AF symptoms (and believe me, I had them all!)

Writerwannabe83 · 14/09/2017 07:53

I've had three BFPs and with each pregnancy I had the same pre-period ymptoms. I had frequent urination from 7dpo and then horrendous feelings of exhaustion on days 10-11dpo. On the days where the exhaustion hit I would keep falling asleep if I was at home and if it was on a day that I was at work I had to force my eyes to stay open, it was awful.

With pregnancy one I didn't have any sickness until 9/10 weeks pregnant and it only lasted a few days.

Pregnancy two unfortunately ended in an early miscarriage three weeks after my BFP.

With pregnancy three the sickness started at about 4 weeks pregnant and lasted until I was about 18 weeks pregnant.

CherriesInTheSnow · 14/09/2017 07:56

Before BFP, both times.

With my first pregnancy I woke up in the middle of the night to insanely tingling hot nipples, and just knew. It had never happened to me before in my life.

With second pregnancy my monthly hormonal chin acne swapped from the right side of my chin to my left, which has never happened before in my either! So was sure :)

I had no idea I was pregnant with dd1 until threw up at work, I was a dry cleaning assistant and chucked up over a pair of suit trousers I was ironing. Somehow my boss knew before I did because she'd already bought me a test 2 days before and forgot to give it to me. About 5 weeks later I had a scan so I was about 7 weeks along when the sickness started.

With dd2 I woke up one morning with chronic heartburn, I knew then I was pregnant as I never get heartburn. Looking at dates I was roughly 9weeks.

Chattycat78 · 15/09/2017 16:11

Around 6 weeks I'd say. Definitely not before bfp. I suppose everyone is different

60sname · 15/09/2017 16:56

From 10dpo - my sense of smell got very sensitive and coffee and beer/wine tasted 'off'

Tattybogle89 · 15/09/2017 20:54

I took a migraine before my positive test
Hadn't had one for years

Must have been hormonal due to the pregnancy

ethelfleda · 16/09/2017 10:49

A day or two before my Bfp I was exhausted. I remember trying to clean the hall floor and I just didn't have the energy (which isn't like me at all)

LisaSimpsonsbff · 16/09/2017 10:57

Every time I've been pregnant I had exactly the same swollen feeling in my breasts about two days before my period came and just knew. I've never had it at any other time. I remember with the third one arguing with DH about it because he said I couldn't be because we hadn't had sex at the right time and I insisted I just knew. And I was right. However, every time I got that swollen feeling I tested and got a positive test, so I wasn't getting symptoms before a test could show me.

Lilypad15 · 16/09/2017 11:27

About week 6 both times. I think the "symptoms" people get before their bfp or regular progesterone related symptoms and they would have got them whether they ended up being pregnant or not. Whilst ttc I've had so many months where I've had a hundred symptoms and just KNEW I had to be pregnant and I ended up not being. The two times I've actually been pregnant, I've not even noticed anything other than a missed period

WhyTheHeckMe · 16/09/2017 20:19

Hi, I decided to record my symptoms so I'd remember them the following month and not symptom spot. Turns out I actually was pregnant! See below. I never think it's too early for them to start appearing....

4 dpo - evening only bad low back ache

5dpo - severe back and leg ache throughout the day

6dpo - nothing all day but twinges in boobs, abdomen and lower back during eve

7dpo - slight upset tummy. Very nauseous off and on all day. Headache off and on. Boob twinges.

8 dpo - very bad nausea and boob twinges

9dpo - no nausea. On off mild boob pain

10dpo - nausea off and on

11dpo - positive test

haveacupoftea · 17/09/2017 07:17

Around 6 weeks, I was really thirsty and had backache. Morning sickness started around 7 weeks. Craving and tiredness 8 weeks. Changes to CM, bleeding gums, vivid dreams etc all happened much later.

OuchBollocks · 17/09/2017 07:21

Can't remember with DD. With DS I really had no symptoms at all other than a bloated tummy from 6 weeks, to the extent that I kept forgetting I was pregnant (and getting dreadful shocks when I saw my reflection unexpectedly!)
