Tell me about evap lines?

I'm quite new to this ttc thing in that since we've started I've not thought I could really be pregnant yet but this month I've been feeling more like I could be, silly I know.

I'm due on my period in a few days but I took a test this morning as I just couldn't wait. There was a faint pink line but it took a while to come up. After I did the test I left it on the side and went to have lunch and looked at it about 10 mins later.

Could this be an evap line? Or just a faint positive?

Pink is usually positive whereas evaps are grey or colourless. Can you upload a picture? Tentative congrats!!

Thank you that's really helpful! I've been searching through the evap line threads trying to find a pink one to compare it to.

I'll dig it out the bin when I get home. DH said he'd pick up s digital one on his way home but I don't want to get my hopes up.

Just bare in mind A digital is not as sensitive so may not pick up until after AF date.

Good luck x

I managed to fish it out of the bin but DH has thrown a load of stuff on top of it so it's gross. The line is very much... a line... it's faint but it's quite defined and it is pink.

DH has bought a clear blue one so I feel the pressures on now as he went for an expensive one. He's really excited now and keeps asking me if I need to wee... it's cute in a "please stop asking about my bodily functions" kind of way.

Ahh... how am I going to wait?

Did you get an early detection clear blue test? They tell you if your pregnant or not before your period is due x

Good luck x

Pink dye tests are better than blue dye or digital generally. I find the Superdrug own brands gave me positives a few days before my period when I got negatives on Clear Blue Digital. They are just more sensitive. First Response are also good for early testing. Keep us updated!

Did the digital test this morning, its positive!

Thank you everyone for answering me. I was so worried I'd gotten my hopes up. Xx
