Is this a line I see before me...

Afternoon all,

I'm new around these parts but was hoping for a second pair of eyes. I've taken a ClearBlue early detection test today and thought I could see a faint line. However, after staring at it for hours I'm doubting myself! What do you think?

I do see a very faint something but I recommend the first response tests, the red lines are so clear.

PsychologyGeek · 11/09/2017 13:45

Thanks for being a second pair of eyes PsychoPumpkin, and thanks for the recommendation. I didn't notice First Response in Boots but might pop back and see if they have any. x

Any chemist should have them. Good luck, hope its positive!

demirose87 · 11/09/2017 14:00

There is a line but I wouldn't rely on it as blue line tests do sometimes show these faint lines. I second doing a first response, hope you get your positive x

MrsMargeSimpson · 11/09/2017 14:01

Yep! I can see without clicking to enlarge so it must be!

PsychologyGeek · 11/09/2017 14:08

Thank you all for taking the time to look! I'm hoping to get down to Boots later to pick one up. What are your thoughts about retesting in the evening versus waiting for first morning wee? Thanks again. x

If you're late for a period you can test any time of day, if you're early I would use fmu as more concentrated.

2furbabies · 11/09/2017 14:30

You can also hold your wee for 4 hours if possibly that will give you an accurate reading but not over load on water as this will dilute any urine no matter the time of day xx

PsychologyGeek · 11/09/2017 15:45

Did a First Response test and that's definitely negative ☹️ Will try again later in the week as haven't actually missed my period yet but been feeling really nauseous and achy so thought it might be worth trying an early test. Thanks again for your help. x

Come back and update when you're late! Fingers crossed for you Flowers

Justonemiracle · 11/09/2017 17:06

Good luck, I did a clear blue early detection today but I am not due AF till Sunday...maybe too early? I think I see a very faint line but not sure if I am tricking my eyes to see what I want to see😔

PsychologyGeek · 11/09/2017 17:09

That's exactly how I felt Justonemiracle. I'm planning to try again later in the week closer to when I'm due. Fingers crossed for you too. x

I see something. If AF is due Sunday then I think a clear blue is supposed to work from 6 days before Monday, i.e. Wednesday but it's still really early!!

user1470147116 · 11/09/2017 17:29

I see a line but those blue dye tests are always showing something...

Justonemiracle · 11/09/2017 18:14

Do you have any other symptoms?? My boobs have been so sore and lots of white CM (sorry if tmi)

PsychologyGeek · 11/09/2017 18:25

Justonemiracle - Yeah, I've been feeling pretty nauseous, a bit crampy and achy and boobs have been a bit sore too. Although I have been wondering if I'm reading into things more than I would usually!!

OP posts:
Justonemiracle · 11/09/2017 20:32

Sounds like we are doing exactly the sam! Fingers crossed for a positive for both of us soon x

Bananamama1213 · 11/09/2017 22:21

I used a clear blue from eBay (it was £3.50) and I had a positive result. I had some cheaper tests that were still saying negative.

I took a digital clear blue a few days later and got pregnant 1-2 weeks, so I would've been around 3-4 weeks.

Good luck!

Justonemiracle · 13/09/2017 11:31

Have you taken any more early tests?? How you feeling? X

PsychologyGeek · 13/09/2017 12:02

@Justonemiracle Have done 2 more tests since Monday and both BFNs ☹️ Have still been feeling crampy and nauseous and (sorry if TMI) had a bit of dark brown blood yesterday and bright red this morning. Probably beginning of AF (due Sat) although not usual for me. How about you? x

OP posts:
Justonemiracle · 13/09/2017 12:50

Could be start of af or could be implantation maybe, fingers crossed. Yes I have done two more too...even though I vowed to wait till weekend! This waiting is such a nightmare! Still feeling sick, sore boobs and am so tired to the point of falling asleep during the day which is really unlike me, but the test were bfn for me too...how long have you been trying?? This is only our 3rd month after my husband had a vasectomy reversal x
