*Fly TO Australia!

karryk · 14/09/2017 22:52

So glad my experience/story has helped in any way Smile I remember trawling through the archives to find anything from people in the same situation who had a happy outcome. I'm hopeful you all will too x

@JustLa I had Five Elements acupuncture for a few months prior to and throughout my pregnancy. This is slightly different from the usual traditional acupuncture - I won't lie, it's not relaxing and can be quite ouchy (real word!) but I'm convinced it helped rebalance and ground my body and mind after all the ups and downs of the last few years. Besides that I took ubiquinol and vitamin e supplements and that was all. I didn't take aspirin or the pessaries either.

Xx

Take4 · 15/09/2017 11:46

Thanks @Justla for your lovely message and for all the positivity around age - it gives me a real boast! Fingers crossed it's not too late! At least I am now doing all i can in terms of a pregnancy sticking - these NK cells will not be the reason a little bubba doesn't make it!!!

LunaB · 15/09/2017 12:04

Yes Take babes xx

Tee4me · 15/09/2017 19:36

God I keep forgetting to check here now!

Thanks for your account Karrie ☺️ I've been doing acupuncture for a few months and feel it's shifting things for me. My acupuncturist has a lovely holistic approach. My last session was amazing, she treated me for an hour and twenty and incorporated massage and taught me more about fertility massage. There are definitely some ouch bits too though, I'm a wuss!! I also take ubiquinol.

I'm feeling a bit crampy today which has never been a great sign for me 😏
Still only 6dpo though.

tee crampy at 6dpo = prime implantation time! (Sorry - prob not what you need when you have to get through another 4/5 days!)

I've just had full on work day as I'm off next week so need to catch up on FB!

So lovely to hear your story karryk. I love that there is a community of people who have been on and off this thread and all have their lovely babies!

Tee4me · 15/09/2017 21:27

Yeah sadly every time it happens I think about implantation, but never comes to fruition! I hate feeling these cramps a week before I'm due on, feels like my body is telling me "we're not having it!" But I do appreciate your positive thoughts!

Haha, yes I think I miss a lot on FB too!! Love how chatty it is!! x

Hi,

I am new to mumsnet and happened to see your forum when googling about NK Cells. I have recently started Mr S high NK Cells treatment. I was wondering if anyone had any problems with the steroids? I am normally so regular but after my first time of taking them I now have had basically 3 periods in less than a month and I have not ovulated or even now where I am with my cycle!

Anyone experienced anything similar? Xx

harrietm87 · 18/09/2017 15:35

Hi hope and welcome - you've come to the right place.

The first cycle I took the steroids I think they delayed ovulation for me because I started taking them too soon, but i was fine after that. I think they can mess with your cycle though - hopefully someone else will come along and offer advice. If in doubt though ring the clinic and see if you can speak to one of the midwives - sounds very frustrating.

Tee4me · 18/09/2017 18:00

Welcome Hope! I'm on my 2nd cycle of Pred, my Ovulation was 2 days late (but that could have been other factors), so haven't experienced anything as dramatic as you sadly are. I would definitely get in touch with the clinic, as it's important to know where you are in your cycle. Really hope you get some answers!

Luna did you get a static face yet?! x

Hopeflower · 18/09/2017 18:03

Thank you for the reply. Finding it frustrating, was so pleased to find what the problem was to my miscarriages but after 1 round of the steroids my cycle is all over the place 😔. Left a message with the clinic, hopefully they will get back to me asap x

Drttc · 18/09/2017 18:21

Hi hope ! My cycles are so regular you can practically set your clock by them. However, when I started pred the exact same thing happened I had the strangest cycle! I had spotting (which I never have unless pregnant) and it was only 22/23 days long (a first for me). After that I made sure to only start pred after I was sure I'd ovulated to make sure the most important part of my cycle was still in place. By the third month my cycle was completely back to normal. I eventually had my DS on the programme.

Hopeflower · 18/09/2017 19:34

Thanks for that Drttc makes me feel better and that it will settle down! How lovely you now have a DS after being on the treatment x

PoppyJ1 · 19/09/2017 12:01

Hopeflower I had a similar thing the first two cycles on Pred. Had two periods the first month and lots of unexpected spotting over a few cycles. It has started to settle down since but I haven't got pregnant so far. It's been since months on Pred but that's partly due to missing windows due to my DP's work schedule.

Take4 · 19/09/2017 14:48

Welcome to the mad house Hopeflower, you have found your tribe. I have had 2 cycles on pred now and it hasn't really affected my cycle although the second one was shorter but couldn't say that was definitely due to the pred.

Good idea to contact the clinic as am sure they will be able to help, very frustrating for you - don't give up!

LunaB · 19/09/2017 16:00

Stupid mumsnet signed me out and I missed all this!!

Hi Hopeflower!!! I'm on cycle 2 of Pred with Dr S and I had a right panic this month as ovulated 4-5 days later than I usually do! And my cycles were clockwork before!!

Hopeflower · 19/09/2017 16:39

Thanks everyone, it's reassuring to know. I didn't realise that the steroids could muck your cycle up. Went into panic mode!! Xx

Bala03 · 19/09/2017 16:51

Hello ladies,
Its been while,how r all?
I can see lot of new members.
Iam pregnant 6 weeks.
Iam following dr s plan.
I checked my hcg 5week and 3 days 28000 hcg.its multiplying every 72 hrs today 50,000.
Iam so worried.i have some cramps.really panic.
Any sugesstion and anybody goen through success with pregnancy.

PoppyJ1 · 19/09/2017 23:39

Hey Bala! Glad you found us cos I was a little concerned when we lost you after having to create a new thread!

Congrats on your pregnancy; Dr S is doing Mumsnet proud! Sorry to hear you're worried. Cramping in itself isn't a worry. Is it possible to have a reassurance scan? Where did you get your blood tests done? Did they give you much feeeback?

Drttc · 20/09/2017 10:24

Bala congratulations on your pregnancy- those hcg numbers are great! Cramping is completely normal. My stomach never felt right all the way through to 20 weeks pregnant. I know it's scary but unfortunately unless the cramps are very painful and accompanied by bleeding, it's considered normal (but uncomfortable). However I'm sure you can find a local place for a private reassurance scan and it will ease your mind.

Bala03 · 20/09/2017 20:01

Hi ladies,
Hi poppy iam back and thanks for message.

Today i had Dr. S appointment ,had scan and intra lipids.he said he is happy with scan and good for 6 week.he says he never relay on hcg,he follows only scan, not to bother about hcg.
So far so good, thanks very much for all your support and love.
Hi Drttc ,thanks very much.i do have cramps and back discomforts if i sit for long.at the moment ,everything is good ,so fingers crossed for future scans.

Bala03 · 20/09/2017 20:14

Hi poppy,
I did my blood with GP.i had cramp and little back pain,gp suspected eptopic. they asked for another one hcg count .but,Dr s said no more hcg.
Yes,indeed Dr s makes mumset proud.i cant believe, iam pregnant after 7 months for taking steroids.he told me to try month without steroids.because i had enough steroids in blood and conceived.
from now on, i hope for good.
lots of baby dust for all.
.

harrietm87 · 21/09/2017 19:19

Just thought I'd drop in to mention a weird new preggo symptom/pred side effect (not sure which but I'm going with blaming the pred...) - my toes have become like hobbit toes!!!! They are SO hairy - each one has a full on (fortunately blonde) wig! Wtf?! I only just noticed. Seeking what should I do - wax? Pluck? (Guessing shaving is bad plan...)

Hope everyone else is well!

PoppyJ1 · 22/09/2017 01:46

Bala, glad to hear Dr S is happy with your scan! That must be very reassuring. I've also heard that the beta hcg isn't always a reliable indicator.

Harriet, I also have really hairy toes! Always been a bit prone to it but noticing it more at the moment.

LunaB · 22/09/2017 10:42

@harrietm87 and @PoppyJ1 I have hairy toes too, but I think it's more my Greek DNA than Pred... although now I will obvioulsy blame the Pred

Dear @Bala03 how lovely to hear your fantastic news!! After 8-gruelling months and god knows whatever else you've been through, this must feel like a dream come true! So happy your scan went well!

@Hopeflower how are you doing hun!?
