Make the most of the extra hair ladies.... because about 4 months post birth it all falls out and then you have really shit hair! I've got some weird kind of fringe going on where it's growing back! DH said I look like the result of one of those YouTube videos where the girls accidents burns/cuts half her hair off!! Lol! Luckily I can hide the regrow that but my hair is definitely thinner now than ever! 😩

Thanks Amy! I am having a lot of dreams about being pregnant and even some that are not quite asleep; like dozing off visions. I think that all counts as positive visualisation!

Yes, nausea is a very good sign, annoying as it is!

Seeking, can't believe your DH said that! Hahaha! It will be stylish bob opportunities for us all at our respective times xx

Harriet, in case you go too early for me to wish you luck, good luck! You don't need it as I'm sure all will be fine but I'll be thinking of you 🤞🏻

You're right Amy, I should wear these suckers with pride 🤜🏻💥🤛🏼 Congrats on the nausea!

Poppy, so that's why women seem to get their hair cut when they have kids! I always thought it was for practical reasons, mystery solved

xx

I heard ya Seeking, almost 3 years on from loosing my hair post birth (in clumps in the shower!), I still have new growth hair tufts at the side of my head, which as I have curly hair, looks like mountain goat horns sticking upright - goodbye slick sleek pony tail 😝

Hi everyone I found you!

Good luck today Harriet!

37, ttc #2 now for 16 months
Have DS, 2, and really wanted a small gap.

3, potentially 4, mcs this year:

Jan CP (not 100% sure as it was blink and miss it)
April mmc at 10 weeks after hb seen at 7 weeks (baby died 7+4)
May mc very early, I think I wasn't ready after the previous one.
July mc at 7 weeks twins gestational sacs with yolks but no poles

Also had mc before conceiving my son 3 weeks later in 2014.

Referred to Dr S by GP and appointment at Epsom end of this month.

I've been taking the following for past month:

Vitamin D 2000iu
CoQ10 200
B complex 100
Pregnancy vits conception
Omega 3 high strength

I've got 75mg aspirin but not started it because it says you have to check with dr first so I was going to wait for my appointment.

We've started ttc again in meantime and in currently 5dpo. I usually know pretty soon if I'm pregnant and I'm getting the signs but time will tell.

I have short LP and long follicular phase. I go to acupuncture fortnightly at a fertility clinic.

Been a bloody rough year, not helped by all of my mates getting pregnant who had babies same time as me. I also suffer from GAD and I do think stress is not helping.

It's encouraging to see how many of you are pregnant having seen Dr S. are you all private or are any of you NHS like me?

If I arrive at appointment and I'm pregnant can he still help me?

Hi Choo! Glad you found us Hun!!!

Dr S made me promise not to get pregnant while we waited for my test results, but if you are already pregnant then he can monitor you at least, and give you the OK for aspirin etc. But he probably can't do any tests as the pregnancy may intefer...

choochooo · 06/09/2017 09:03

Thanks Luna I guess either way it's hopeful that I can get monitored if I am pregnant or have tests done if I'm not pregnant. Anything is better than nothing!

Hi Choo,

Sorry you've been having such s rough ride. He was adamant we didn't get pregnant also until he'd tested and results were back.

Are seeing him at the NHS hosp or his Surrey clinic? If you are pregnant how far gone will your app? Xx

Hi Choochoo,

Thanks for sharing your story.
I guess he wants to get all your meds sorted to lessen the chances of you suffering another loss? Makes sense, but there's no reason he won't get you on meds when pregnant. I met a woman at his clinic that didn't find out she was pg until 8 weeks and was supposed to be waiting, she's now 14 weeks on his plan and doing well. Lucky you seeing him on NHS!!! Wonder how far he goes with the NK testing on NHS. You're in good hands with him and hopefully won't have to go through any more losses

Xx.

Ps. I've just read my message back and it don't seem too supportive and I really didn't mean it to come across that way. I'm sure he'll still help if your pregnant- I think with us there were just some tests that couldn't be donewhen pregnant and likeJust says above I think it wa sjust to try and establish a problem (if there is one) to try and prevent any further losses. I guess you could always ring before your appointment and check if it was worrying you xx

Jeeeez, powerful image Just, that's the reality for most of us!

I lost a whole 10 mins of M25 driving fantasising about my social media baby born announcement today. I literally zoned out for ages - whilst driving - imagining posting a pic of a squished little baby face and bravely saying this was my rainbow baby etc. 😂 I need to get a grip!

JustLa · 06/09/2017 10:01

Awwww both of your posts make me wanna cry haha, Soph how lovely that you were so concerned about being supportive and Lun, I get it, fantasising and worrying takes about 90% of my time up! More fantasising than worrying.
Some friends did a great reveal around a year ago, a pic of her scoffing food and a pic of him drinking beer, the slogan was 'Eating for 2 - Drinking for 2' love that! Xx

Thank you so much for all your kind messages. Everything is fine! YAY

Measuring a day ahead at 9+0, good heartbeat and it's actually looking like a baby now. I can't believe it. He did some 3D pics and could see its head and little arms. So so relieved.
