Spotting in the luteal phase

Hi everyone,
I came of the pill (cerazette - mini pill) in May and seemed to have gone back to a pretty steady 29 day cycle. I'm Ov on CD 17 and then my luteal phase is pretty short, around 10-11 days. My main concern is that I start spotting about 5 DPO before full AF arrives. I'm temping and my temps stay pretty high after ovulating but the spotting starts so early I'm concerned that this is going to stop me being able to get pregnant. Or maybe I'm panicking too early and it's just my body settling down after the pill? Anyone else experienced this? Is there anything I can do to increase LP and stop the spotting?

I get this every month! I've been worrying about it since I started TTC. However I've seen a couple of drs and had a gynae referral. None of them have been at all worried about it. I had an internal scan last month and the results were all good so I've finally taken their word for it! I temped for a couple of months and mine also stayed high until the day af arrived so I think that does indicate that it's not a progesterone issue. You might want to see your gp as they say all unusual bleeding should be checked but don't stress about it - like you say it could be your body adjusting after the pill.

I did find a thread on here once will lots of ladies talking about this problem. Quite a few still got the spotting as usual with their bfp so don't count yourself out until full af appears.

Good luck!

Thanks for your reply. It makes me feel a little less anxious that it's not totally unusual. I might give it a few more months and see what happens as I've only had 3 proper cycles after the pill so maybe need more time...if it's no better I'll go to the doctor. I'm all up to date with smears etc so doubt it's anything sinister in that respect but I was worried about a progesterone problem.

It could be down to low progesterone levels so might be worth investigating. It'd be a case of getting the so-called day 21 bloods.
