Antibiotics and conception - how likely??

I'm on fairly strong antibiotics atm and using the mini pill. Anyone got pg while on antibiotics? How likely is it to interfere with the contraceptive. Wouldn't be a massive problem to me if I got pg, but dh might have kittens

My sister got pregnant with her first while on the pill and taking antibiotics. Wouldn't risk it unless you would be happy to be pregnant.

Really? Her ds is gargantuan so it obviously didn't affect him in any way! It does say on the pack that it might "interfere" with the effectiveness of the pill - just wondered if that was likely or just something they have to put on medication?

Have no idea where I am in my cycle - just stopped bf dd (22 mths) and periods are all over the shop - haven't had one for a couple of months now.

to be "safe" you need to be using other precautions for the days you are on the antibiotics ( usually 7) and then 7 more days thereafter - yes it is quite common to get pregnant on antibiotics.

If I did get pg - is there any danger to the baby if I'm taking antibiotics?

Am not pg AFAIK btw.
