And somehow miss getting a positive OPK?

I test twice a day from CD 10 or 11. When I conceived DS I was bang in day 14 This time round (3 years on) it seems to be a bit later - last month a positive OPK on day 16. I use internet cheapies so do at least 2 tests a day sometimes more

This cycle I'm wondering if I've somehow missed it? Day 17 and still nothing, some EWCM on day 14 but nothing since and no positive OPK.

The reason I ask is because I'm overseas for work from CD19 & not back til late on CD22 so if in just really late ovulating I'll be 😡

Any clues or experiences very gratefully received!

What times are you testing?

I use FMU and mine seemed to come late, will attach a pic. If I was testing in the afternoon I think I'd have missed it.

First thing in the morning and then after work so about 6ish. Though today I've done about 6! Interesting to see you get such strong lines over 2 days florence! I usually get a stronger line in the morning, a positive in the afternoon and it's pretty much gone by the next morning.

People may tell us FMU is a big fat no but I did lots of googling and it seemed the reason it's not recommended is only because surges are usually in the afternoon, not for any other reason.

I don't know how much we can rely on OPKs, I've definitely seen posts on here where people have said they never get positives or didn't for a couple of cycles and still got pregnant, I wouldn't be surprised if you did miss it.

I am hoping I ovulate earlier this cycle else I may have a short luteal phase which isn't ideal, so hopefully you have missed it!

Fingers crossed for us both! I have been testing like a maniac, at this rate I'll be moving straight from OPK testing to poas 😱

Wow @Florence16 it's amazing to see them all lined up, and to see the line get stronger! With my 'negative' faint lines I just get disheartened and throw them away. Maybe if I kept them I could see some sort of progress.

So is it that when the second line is dark, you're about to ovulate? Or you are ovulating?
