Ladies help, how do you spot an anovulatory cycle and if it is anovulatory, do you still get a temp hike for the latter part of your cycle and if so why? thanks

I was anov for years, and didn't get a good temp spike - not helped, it had to be said, by DH working away in the week, so having a human hotwater bottle in bed only once a week, didn't help the spiking anyway.... The only way I knew what was happening was that I still got very premenstrual on the 5-8th day of each month. In the end I was put on a drug to make me menstruate as well as clomid for ovulation and that did the trick. Good luck.

Got this off this website

"Don't notice any sort of temperature shift on your BBT chart? Don't panic. Some women who are ovulating normally don't experience the classic temperature rise upon ovulation. Instead, their BBT remains constant throughout their menstrual cycle. "

It does not help but thought i would throw it into the mix to bump up the thread incase anyone does have the answer!!!

thanks yum03! i'm charting for the first time - i've just entered all my data in fertiliy friend and although i got a +ve opk on thurs and fri my temp hasn't risen.... still worried but it could be my inexperience on temping, peeing in a container i can do but temping i guess is easier to get wrong!

Snipersmum ? thanks for sharing your experience I was a very regular 28 dayer with OV cd16-18 but I had a MC last cycle (I was 10 weeks) and I think my body might not have been up to OV this cycle, I had a slight hike and have been above the coverline for 5 days now but my software refused to acknowledge it as OV ? now on cd34! Glad clomid worked for you

Thanks Yum03 ? a bit of reverse psychology!

Insywinsy ? it does take a bit of time to get your head round it all and if the CB monitor is anything like the software, it takes a while to get used to your cycle before it can predict. Good luck with it all
