This is too late for implantation bleeding isn't it?

I expect I know the answer but if I vent here it might stop me going bonkers.

Firstly at 45 and ttc I know how unlikely getting a bfp ia but did get pg last year. Didn't have a live birth.

This cycle I got a +opk cd 13.
My cycles are usually 30 days. Cd 13 was a little earlier than usual by a couple of days.

By cd26 I had cramping, boobs were killing me, back ache etc.
I did a cheap test at midnight so not fmu and got a bfn.
Cd27 had some spotting. Pink and watery. Then nothing. No af. No cramps. Boobs still tender.

Today will be cd28.

Realistically the spotting is likely to be start of af isn't it?
It's too late to be implantation isn't it?

If nothing by cd30 I'll test again.

Thoughts please?

Probably too late for implantation yes but if you don't normally spot and no af yet who knows! Could be a good sign plenty people spot in early pregnancy especially at time af due. Only way of knowing is to test...

How are things now @stillvicarinatutu? I've had very very light spotting today and am grasping at straws that it might not be AF. Did yours turn out to be AF or imp?

It could still be implantation blood that didn't come out. I spotted with my third pregnancy up till I was 9 weeks.

@demirose87 that's true. I hadn't thought of it like that. I've had stark white BFN's the last couple of days, so I suspect in my case it's extremely wishful thinking but I guess you aren't out until AF actually arrives.

if it happened would be a huge shock again now anyway, as it was at 44. i remember the day i took the test to rule out pregnancy - oh the irony now all i want to do is rule it in.
