i dont have any children and I have never been pregnant. me and my partner have been trying to conceive for 1 year now with no luck. at around the 6 month mark I started to go to the doctors for them to run tests. due to the fact that I have regular periods, I'm young and a healthy weight they concluded that I can get pregnant. they also conducted an internal examination and my blood test was consistent with ovulation. so why 6 months on am I still not pregnant? I mean I'm only 20 years old surely it should have happened sooner. Did anyone else have this problem? and did anyone else cry every month when they got their period?

Was your partners sperm tested. If your fine the problem could be with him. But remember it can take some couples up to 2 years to conceive.

I'm 28 and my DH is 26. It took us nearly 18 months to conceive. We had tests done after a year which were normal so it was just a case of keeping trying. It was tough but if the doctor has said you're ovulating and your partners sperm is ok, there's a very high chance you will fall pregnant.

I struggled to believe it wouldn ever happen either but unless a problem has been flagged, it's just a waiting game

Has your partner been tested? It could be that his sperm count / quality is on the low side and that you are in fact 'fine'.

my partner is 27 and had a child in a previous relationship so I just assumed it wasn't him. but no his sperm hasn't been tested so we will have to arrange that. Thankyou for the responses!
