I can't see anything, sorry - but 5DPO is really too early. Although tempting you'll need to hold off a few more days.

AN9774 · 01/09/2017 07:13

Ok I know it is really early I'm terrible lol, thank you!

I see something extremely faint. Try again in another couple of days!

fortunacookie · 01/09/2017 07:22

Hope u get a bfp

katiegd · 01/09/2017 07:27

I don't think implantation normally happens until about 6-10 dpo, which is when hgc starts being produced. I know it's so hard not to test early but try to wait until at least 10dpo. Good luck!

TiramisuQueenoftheFaeries · 01/09/2017 07:27

It's not possible to get a positive at 5dpo. The very earliest the most sensitive test can give you a positive is 8dpo (and that's assuming you don't implant late). An embryo won't have implanted by 5dpo so your body can't be producing any HCG that early.

Wait at least three days, preferably more, and try again.

dowhatyouwish · 01/09/2017 08:07

Can't see a line afraid

AN9774 · 01/09/2017 08:08

Thank you for your replies I think I am more than 5 days but only 1/2 days more I'm counting from the end of my fertile week as I ovulated in the middle but I'm not entirely sure what day. You can get a faint positive at 3po believe it or not everyone is different I do have a faint line but I mean very faint easier to see on my phone and test so I will definitely take all of your advice as it could be anything just in case I'm wrong, Thanks again! nice to have people respond :)

You really can't get a positive at 3dpo, unless you are a mutant nonhuman with a completely different reproductive cycle. If you do get a true positive, you're later than 3dpo - otherwise it's an evap.

I can't see anything on that one but waiting several days and testing again is the only way to know.

AN9774 · 01/09/2017 09:04

Thank you yes I said I think I was more than 3dpo I just count from the last day in the fertile window. I don't suppose you can see it on this photo I used a different inverting app on a different picture of the test as those were done with the 30seconds into it this one was 1.5 minutes sorry To be a pain I'm just sure I see a line if not I'll say no more And be patient ☺️

Hi,
I'm currently 4/5 days late and I've got no real signs that my period is coming. My breasts are tender and cervix relatively soft but no spotting or cramping. My cycles tend to be on the long side but rarely over 33 days, I'm now on day 38 and still nothing.

I did a Tesco pregnancy test and it showed a very faint positive line and also a clear blue digital one which showed as 'not pregnant'. Is there still a possibility I could be pregnant?

I've been suffering with a cold the last 10 days or so and I wondered whether that might be why it's late? I ovulated before the cold so I don't think it's down to late ovulation.

I've attached a picture of the faint test.

Would be interested to get your views.

@emg1 the digital ones aren't as sensitive as non-digital. I see the lines on the first two, although from the picture it's hard to tell if they have colour or are maybe evaps. I'd give it a couple of days and if you've still not come on try a pink dye test. FX for you.

AN9774 · 01/09/2017 10:02

Maybe go to the doctors and ask for a blood test I'm sure they will do it as your are late either way x baby dust to you! X

If you are only a few day a late then the digital
May well read negatives as it isn't very sensitive. The GP will advise waiting a few days and testing again. Blood bHCG tests are only used if you are very late and have confusing symptoms, or for monitoring ectopic and molar pregnancies.

xqwertyx · 01/09/2017 18:32

When we were TTC and i thought i saw a line i took the test apart and held the papery bit up to a light and i could see then that it was indeed a very feint one.

I was indeed pregnant! But i dont want to advise you do it as it says on the pack not to Grin

Good luck!

xqwertyx · 01/09/2017 18:34

And i also like the word indeed....

Bebenotrexha · 26/12/2020 21:19

I must know- were you pregnant?!

MummaOfGirls3 · 07/10/2021 10:14

I can confirm.. it is absolutely possible to have the faintest positive pregnancy test at 5DPO.
I talk from experience!! However, it is rare and it depends on the complete individuality of the woman and her body! I believe my body is sensitive to changes and works fast! But 2 of my babies both showed up 5-6 dpo! Please do not rely on this though and be as patient (granted it’s incredibly difficult) as possible! These lines can also be false positives! X

TryingToConeive209 · 20/04/2022 21:07

You most certainly can conceive at 3dpo, however not common but yes you in-fact can!

Courtwoods · 13/06/2022 11:33

Hi ladies 🤚🏼

I’ve recently been using this app I am currently 5 dpo and still testing the same it look to me and I’m trying for a baby what could this mean because I’ve heard some woman use this as a method for pregnancy?

What do you think about this?

What do you think of this. 5 DPO, FMU. Know that it's too early to test and it showed up after some time AND I opened it.TTC for 6 months and it's the first time I see any type of faint line (constantly doing all of the above 🫣). Looks pink IRL. Don't want to get my hope up too high but 🤞

I think that it's literally not possible to get a positive at 5DPO and anything that shows up after more than ten minutes and after you've opened the test is invalid.

Why are you torturing yourself?
