Phantom symptoms... is this an actual thing?!

Little bit ranty! Came off the pill end of Jan, only serioisly started TTC the last two months (after thinking it would just 'happen - BAHHH yea right!)

And I swear in the weeks between ovulation and AF I get every symptom under the sun... then the witch arrives and I'm just a confused mess! It makes me feel like my body is letting me down too! So bloody frustrated with this whole TTC lark but it's what we want!

Is there such a thing as phantom symptoms? Does anyone else get this? And how the hell do you stop it 😂

Rant over! xx

They aren't phantom symptoms, but they are pms symptoms as well as early pregnancy symptoms.

After ov, you release a lot of progesterone. Progesterone causes all of the symptoms of early pregnancy. HCG levels don't rise significantly enough to cause symptoms in their own right until at least 5-6 weeks into pregnancy. So whether or not you get pregnant in a cycle, you will get all the same symptoms. So don't symptom spot, as really it could mean either.
