Coil removal

Coil out tomorrow! Hooray! Dreading the actual experience, but cannot wait to be without hormonal contraception for the first time in 15 years! Lord knows what to expect.

Did anyone else feel giddy with excitement and scared to DTD when you started TTC No. 1?

Praying for a swift and pain free removal tomorrow!

Removal was so super easy compared to getting it in ( I had copper coil).

Don't get too giddy yet... just remember each month you only have about a 20% of pregnancy. You also have no control over how long it takes...

Have low expectations. It's a marathon, not a sprint!

You're quite right, I know. It's just odd going from being uber careful not to to suddenly not using any protection.

Glad removal was easy, I'm hoping for the same (although a little TLC and sympathy from DH would be nice... Grin).

I know what you mean, I felt really naughty for a few weeks after I had mine (copper) out, like I was doing something I shouldn't after so long preventing! It's so hard not to get carried away with excitement too but I'm trying not to fixate as I know it could be a while (also trying for #1 Smile)

Having it out was a bit icky and painful but passes very quickly!
