Hi,

My partner and I had natural IUI under 2 weeks ago, she ovulated on 13-14th August, she had light bleeding for 2 1/2 days, not like her usually 4 day period and it was not heavy at all, at t the end it was brown/red colour and it ended yesterday, we tested with CB yesterday and day before and it was a very very very faint line..could just about see it. I'm not sure what to do, if I should take her hospital or not as she did bleed a week before her period. she has felt very tired last couple of days and urinated nearly every hour. I'm scared she has infection since we haven't had a positive result yet.

Is she in extreme pain or does she have heavy bleeding?? Like less than two hour to fill a tampon or pad? Does it hurt when she pees?

If the answers are no, then the only thing to be done is to wait it out... you might find the line starts to darken over the next few days. Hopefully this happens and she is pregnant.

Implantation bleeding is not very common, but it IS a thing. This may have been what she experienced...

Try doing the pregnancy test with the first morning wee - that's when any pregnancy hormones are strongest. The line will be very faint the earlier you test for it as there won't be as many hormones in the body till a bit later on. Maybe get one of those tests with the actual words in the window "pregnant/not pregnant". If not then yes get checked out at a clinic. A hospital wouldn't see you for something like this, call the local womens health clinic for advice. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply guys. No she wasn't heavy at all, very light cramps, it finished in 2 days and it was a week early for it to be her period. Just worried she has an infection as no real positive yet, maybe too early.? is it better to use FRER than clearblue?

Pain generally accompanies infection. Intracycle bleeding is not all that uncommon anyway...

Test again in the morning/ a few days/ when she is late. I do suggest FRER or a digi after her period was due.

ok thats good news then, didn't want her getting an infection at all. will try it with FRER starting tomorrow and update! thanks for support guys
