Someone please tell me I'm being stupid. Feel sick as a dog today. Came on our of nowhere but can't actually be sick. Only 3dpo!

I get sick every cycle - the rise in progesterone gives me morning sickness after ovulation

Mrsjones17 · 21/08/2017 19:35

This is first time I've felt this bad. Could be totally over analysing though.

My daughter started feeling sick within days of conceiving. She thought she was ill actually but it was pregnancy. Healthy baby girl 9 months later.

So it can happen.

I get really nauseous after ovulation, every damn month. It sucks Angry

NimbleKnitter · 21/08/2017 19:41

My understanding is implantation only occurs at 9/10 dpo, so any symptoms before that relate to ovulation, not fertilisation

Mrsjones17 · 21/08/2017 19:42

Anyone got any good relief methods? I'm going away tomorrow and don't want to feel rubbish? So far had peppermint tea which seems to have soothed a little

Eating small amounts usually helps me

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 21/08/2017 19:48

I remember it well. I was green and nauseous and only a few days pregnant! I didn't know ow at the time so definitely wasn't because I knew.

Ginger and lemon tea really helped. Anything ginger really and shed loads of Rennie's!

Misstomrs · 21/08/2017 19:49

Ginger works, so ginger ale / beer, chilled and sipped.
Small bits of cracker NOT toast.

crookedhooker · 21/08/2017 19:51

My sickness started 5 days after intercourse. My DH had been working away for over a month so was very sure of dates.

Buttercunt · 21/08/2017 19:56

I had this but it as due to pregnacare vitamins - they made me as sick as a dog and apparently it's quite common.

Holdbacktheriver · 21/08/2017 20:12

It could be a bug.

However I do have a friend that with all 4 babies was sick as a pig within days of conception and it continued until baby was born. So it is possible

AlexsMum89 · 21/08/2017 20:14

@buttercunt I had that problem with those vits last time i was pregnant. Had to stop taking them but it was so long ago I can't remember if I tried any other brands!
