Hi all
Been reading everyone's posts and this is my first so here goes..
I stopped taking the pill in April and have had regular AF since. AF due yesterday and have been spotting the week before AF due. I know it's not my AF because it's is only when I wipe (nothing on pad other than a couple of tiny specs).
According to my app (ovia) I DTD a few times on my fertile days.
I've had a couple of headaches and been very irritable too! I can see veins on my boobs & and am bloated!
Took a First response early test a few days ago which was BFN and Superdrug test this morning, also BFN!
I don't know what to think as most info I've seen says that spotting is only a day or two? Surely a BFP should show up now that AF was due yesterday?

It may be too early to test, but there is still the chance your period is just late or that last week's spotting was it depending on colour and consistency and how many days.

Hi MammieBear! Spotting was brown mostly and sometimes red but was only when I wiped (sorry for tmi!)
Still havent started AF yet & had another negative test this morning :(

Hi laurad1234, sounds to me like that could have been it last week then, they say if implantation bleeding it would be very little brown spotting not often red and sometimes pink, when you stop birth control it takes a few cycles for you body to get into the new routine, I'd make a note of when you started to bleed last week and treat it as your period, if you still think you are pregnant you could go the doctors and have a blood test that's one way to know for sure. Good luck Smile

Just taken a test & at first nothing happened (no lines at all) and I stupidly thought I'd give it a little shake (whyyyy!!?!) There was a very feint second line and now I'm unsure if it's a false test because neither line appeared straight away and I stupidly shook it Confused . Anyone have any advice?! I obviously need to re-test but have to wait to need a pee!! Don't think I can wait til the morning Confused

Definitely take another test Smile I doubt a line would just appear from a little shake as hormone required for positive test must have come from you before the test was shaken. Try not to panic as uncertainty can be scary Confused

Will take another one today! Missed the first morning pee though because I need to buy another test! Confused

If you had a true positive result last night then today will be the same. Possible false positive won't show as long as you don't shake the test again Wink Good luck

Just taken another and it's BFN! Sad

From sad emoji, I'm assuming you found the test disheartening. Can always take another test next week or go to GP for blood test to confirm today's result.
From my own experience I've had a BFN with my boy & had to wait a few weeks to see positive result even though my gut feeling was pregnant.
One thing is certain only time will tell Hmm

Thanks Jen.. yes very disheartening but I haven't been trying for very long so I didnt expect it to happen straight away. Really did want to TTC without becoming obsessed but I think that's easier said than done!!
