Some of you may recognize my username from the pregnancy and miscarriage boards. DH and I have been TTC since September 2016 and I had a MMC in January followed by an early MC in May. We took a break but got back on the wagon last month and this is our second month of TTC again.

I think I ovulated yesterday and we have DTD three times in the last four days, so I'm hopeful this might be the month for us! AF is due on 3rd September and I know it's going to be a long wait. Anyone want to join for some 2ww support? Smile

So I spoke again to the EPU and a much more helpful person told me it's likely a chemical pregnancy and if I'm still getting bfps to come in next week for bloods and scan. I've had heavier bleeding now.

Had a huge row with DP about ttc. He thinks OPKs, early tests and so on stress him and told me if I'm going to do that to not tell him because he'd rather just relax and wait. I feel so guilty because I snapped at him and told him to pull himself together. I'm a horrible partner I guess.

felicityheather · 28/08/2017 16:11

@dragonsanddungeons I'm certain you're not a horrible partner! I want to tell my DH every little (usually gross) detail and he said he didn't really want to know. It feels nice to share all my crazy obsessions and a little hurtful that he doesn't want to hear, though I guess I can't blame him for not wanting to know the details of my cm! It's an incredibly stessful period for both of you. Try to be kind to yourself.

Fia256 · 28/08/2017 16:18

Just got my BFP on a frer!!! I'm shaking I can't believe it!!!

Sictransitgloria · 28/08/2017 16:24

@bubble04 totally agree. I have never noticed all the little twinges etc, funny how we just get on with it usually.

@dragonsanddungeons I'm really sorry you're having a tough time. I highly doubt you are a rubbish partner, it's just things are a bit fraught. Sometimes I think our lovely partners/husbands don't realise what we go through every month let alone the rest of what comes with ttc'ing.

Opensesame1 · 28/08/2017 16:30

Congrats @Fia256!! 😍😍

PabloEscobarlo · 28/08/2017 16:33

Congratulations @Fia256

Bubble04 · 28/08/2017 16:34

@DragonsandDungeons you are not a bad partner. You're going through a really challenging experience, and of course you want to share it with him. Thinking of you x

@Fia256 congratulations! That's fantastic news x

DragonsandDungeons · 28/08/2017 16:44

Thank you everyone. I'm petrified there's something wrong now. This is my second miscarriage and they already suspect I've got a hydrosalpinx (though I've never had PID). I also suspect I have low progesterone.

Congrats Fia!x

felicityheather · 28/08/2017 16:56

@Fia256 congratulations! Wonderful news!

@DragonsandDungeons sending you hugs xx

Fia256 · 28/08/2017 16:56

Thankyou all! I'm in absolute shock! We only dtd 3/4 days before ovulation so I genuinely thought I was out this month!

Very very excited but also flooded with fear now! The last 3 pregnancies have ended in miscarriage at 5 and 7 weeks then my last pregnancy I found out my little boy had stopped growing at 16 weeks at my 20 week scan only in June so I just pray all goes well!

RandomUsernameHere · 28/08/2017 17:00

Congratulations @Fia256 wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy!

@DragonsandDungeons sorry to hear you're having such a tough time.

DragonsandDungeons · 28/08/2017 17:01

Sorry to hear about your losses Fia Biscuit

DragonsandDungeons · 28/08/2017 17:31

Does anyone know if it were a chemical whether my lines would be getting darker? I'm testing constantly until I know for sure and I just got a very obvious bfp...

Opensesame1 · 28/08/2017 17:36

@DragonsandDungeons I'm so sorry you are going through such a worrying time. I would have thought if it was a chemical pregnancy that ur hcg levels would be decreasing so test would be getting fainter? I have everything crossed for u chick! Xx

DragonsandDungeons · 28/08/2017 17:46

Open thank you. I would have thought that too, but the line is definitely darker. I am still bleeding red. I suppose I'll have to get my bloods done next week.

I have bled with all my pregnancies successful or otherwise so perhaps this is normal for me.

Freezingwinter · 28/08/2017 18:09

I really want to test Saturday where I'll be 10/11dpo. the only test I have has a sensitivity of 25miu/ml, is that too weak to detect a pregnancy so early? Thanks xx

Fia256 · 28/08/2017 18:18

@Freezingwinter probably yes. I tested today at 10dpo on a frer and mine is only a light line at the minute so I don't think mine would show on a less sensitive one yet x

gerriberry · 28/08/2017 18:19

I think you might need a 10miu/ml test to pick up anything that early!! Otherwise you will probably just get a BFN. I'm fairly new to this though so could be wrong!!

gerriberry · 28/08/2017 18:21

Sorry @fia256. That response was meant for @Freezingwinter!!! Congrats on your BFP by the way xxx

Fia256 · 28/08/2017 18:27

My symptoms this month have been -

Bad cold
Exhausted
Ewcm for the last 2 days (from around 8dpo)

No sickness, no tender or sore or even swollen boobs. I know we are all different but I hope that gives anyone who's symptomless a bit of hope!

Hope there's many more bfps to come from this thread!! Xx

Opensesame1 · 28/08/2017 18:31

@DragonsandDungeons some people don't realise they are pregnant straight away as they have what seems to be a normal period.. I know it's easier said than done but try and distract yourself for a day or 2 and see how the tests progress. I'm sure the worry of it isn't doing you any good either way!! Xx

emilyjayne1990 · 28/08/2017 18:35

@Fia256 massive congrats! So pleased for you! X

AlexsMum89 · 28/08/2017 20:01

Confession time for me - couldn't sleep last night, was up until 2am. At around 2am I decided to poas - who does that? Clearly had lost the plot. Was a predictable BFN as it's still too early and wasn't even a sensitive test. No idea why I did it 😂
