How many days after ovulation should we try to DTD?

Just trying to make sure we've covered all the bases. I read so much conflicting info..
FW goes something like this
CD 12 DTD
CD 13 'rest day'
CD 14 DTD
CD 15 DTD positive OPK (static smiley)
CD 16 DTD positive OPK (internet one step)

Today is CD 17 should we try and go again?! He's a bit worn out but reckon I could convience him. Or is it just a case of go for it if you can?

When would you say I ovulated??

Some people say have a day off to allow sperm to build up again and some people say this is a myth. DH doesn't have any issues as far as we are aware. What's the best course of action?

No harm in doing it today. OPK can only tell you that you are gearing up to ovulated, it can't confirm that ovulation has taken place.

I'd go with every other day that isn't your period , try not to get caught up too much with checking for signs of ovulation.
