I'm not expecting answers but posting on the off chance somebody may have experienced something similar

TTC #3

Have been tracking my cycle since April, but this is first month ttc. Ovulation usually occurs cd18 with a 13 day l.p. Usually temp, but with the kids being off haven't really done that this month (typically the month I have a crazy time)

This month however

CD1 2nd July (normal af)

CD18 obvious opk but not positive (bd)
CD19 red blood when wiping but only a couple of times, obv opk (bd)
CD21 red bloody when wiping again, opk going lighter

CD24 opk becoming more obvious again, not positive (bd)
CD25 bd
CD26 positive opk (bd)
CD27 positive opk lunchtime, neg teatime

Today is CD49 (!) and no signs of af or bfp. OPK's have been super obv since Thurs, today's almost positive (used 4th wee of the day and tbf wasn't a very dark wee). Still BFN. Spoke to GP on the phone on Thursday and she said she will bring me in for bloods once period is four weeks late but not before, as no previous problems.

So - anyone else experienced anything as crazy?

I wondered if maybe the cd19 and 21 bleeding maybe breakthrough bleeding from an annovulatory cycle and I'm now gearing up to ov, but still doesn't explain positive opks on day 26 and 27 and the bleeding was the tiniest amount really

Anyway I've rabbitted on enough, but dh is sick of hearing me in rl!

Sounds like you had an anovulatory cycle, it's a cycle where you don't ovulate and the body may try a few times but then gives up. I have had this happen. It's normal unless it keeps happening. The cycle I had mine was 50 days. But I know some ladies it's longer or shorter. Speak with your GP if you're still worried in a week or so. X

Sorry should have said, mini explanation for anyone else reading who didn't know what an anovulatory cycle meant. 🤓😉

I think with opks you get the most accurate result late morning or afternoon.

Thanks MouseLove I did wonder that, I just want my period now and for this crazy cycle to be over...I feel like I'm on edge every time I leave the house, will I won't I come on ha

MsJuniper I am a poas addict and test 4 times a day at least! Not afraid to admit it lol

I agree it's likely to have been an anovulatory cycle - sometimes your body can gear up to ovulate but then doesn't for whatever reason, then it tries again later. Hence this will make your period late as the follicular phase is lengthened. I normally have a 31 day cycle but had one that was 46 days once! It's frustrating isn't it Angry
