So I'm 8 months postpartum and we are starting ttc next month however, I've noticed since giving birth my ewcm is white and opaque instead of clear like it previously was?! I'm not sure if this is normal? I did have a bad 3rd degree tear that needed surgery to correct and now I'm starting to worry if this has anything to do with it? Is it worth making an appointment with my gp?

Just to add I definitely don't think it's thrush or anything because I don't have any other thrush symptoms

That's called creamy CM and is not fertile from what I've read. It's usually too thick. It might be worth tracking to see when you are ovulating. Things like breastfeeding can alter your cycles. Good luck!

Is it stretchy like EWCM and it's just the colour? According to Taking Charge of Your Fertility, EWCM isn't necessarily clear. It says streaky is normal rather than opaque; could yours be streaky?

When I came off the pill mine was really white but is much clearer 3 cycles on so I'm sure yours will settle down - as Mouselove says bf etc can alter your cycle. Good luck!
