Coming off Cilest- 1st month

Hello :)

I'm new to all of this. I came off Cilest about 5 weeks ago and have had no sign of a period. I've had severe headaches, flu like symptoms and stomach and back ache but no blood. I had a tiny bit of pink when I wiped about a week ago but that's all. Just wanted some advice from those more experienced ☺️

Thank you xx

All part of the process sadly! It can often take 3 months for periods to come back, but can take 6 months or more without it being a 'problem' (medically I mean - obviously it's a big problem to wait that long if TTC!)

I came off microgynon and had awful cramps and headaches and all that jazz for a month, period came back 5-6 weeks after my last pill. I know it's frustrating but it's nothing to worry about. Good luck!

I am in the same situation, i came off pill around the same time and haven't had my 'true' period yet. Just a bit of pink and that was it. I am monitoring my temp via the natural cycles app and find that is helping although i am not ttc just yet. Hopefully soon!

I'm not more experienced but I can sympathise - I came off Cilest a month ago and am awaiting AF. I've just bought an OvuSense monitor to find out whether I'm ovulating or not as apparently you can still ovulate without a period - who knew!

Good luck Jetson & MissHannah - how are you both feeling otherwise? I'm surprised how much more 'alive' I feel now I'm not on the Pill. It's hard to explain but my moods are definitely more stable and I'm altogether cheerier.

Conversely, my periods seem to have come back OK, but I am hideously grumpy and intolerant at the moment! No pattern to it, and I'm on cycle 2 off it. Seems to be very random how we are all affected.

I also feel so much better, after the last 17 years on the pill i can't believe it. I can't tell if it is because i'm off the pill or whether it is because my vitamins for a recent diagnosis of CFS are helping but either way i am feeling almost hormonally normal.

I am 5 days late for my predicted period so we shall see. I feel more alive and far less miserable than I did before :)
