How soon will I ovulate after miscarriage?

Hello,

Unfortunately I had a miscarriage early this month, around 6 weeks pregnant.

We want to try again immediately. I'm just confused about how to know when I'm ovulating. I usually have regular periods and ovulate on day 14 but I'm not sure how this works after miscarriage? Is it day 14 after the miscarriage started? Anyone had this before and tested? When did you ovulate?

A miscarriage can change things, maybe it isbest to buy some OPK's for this cycle?

I miscarried last month at 6 weeks.
I used opks 2 weeks later and got positive. 2 weeks after that I found out I'm pregnant again. I'm currently 4 weeks. There is hope... keep the faith :)

After my 2 early miscarriages I ovulated on around CD19 if the first day of bleeding from the miscarriage was counted as CD1. If you track your cycle carefully then you should be able to spot ovulation this month but the timing may be slightly later than usual.

It really depends how long it takes the hcg level in your body to drop to 0, because you'll normally ovulate two weeks after that. You might go right back to a normal cycle but don't be surprised if it's late - it took 7 weeks for my period to return after an early miscarriage.

I was told to leave it a cycle after miscarriage but that was 12 years ago, so the advice may have been updated.
Mine was at around six weeks too, and I went back to a normal-ish cycle (as in next period was about four weeks later) then I conceived two weeks after that.
We weren't TTC as such though. Just had sex when we felt like it and got lucky.

I don't know if it's true that you are more fertile after mc but seems to be for some people.

I'm so sorry for your loss and what youre going through.
After my miscarriages we started trying again straightaway. Used the ovulation sticks to know when i was ovulating. Used the 'sperm meets egg plan' (google for info). Best of luck.

I'm in the same boat I had a mc at end of July when I was 5+5 and we have stated trying again straight away, I am currently CD16 and usually ovulate CD14 so I'm hoping for a BFP this time around!

I miscarried on 8 June. 26 days later (my normal cycle length) I had a longer than usual period. Then since then, no period (but no pregnancy). So I'm in limbo whereas I'm usually like clockwork. I temp but haven't been able to discern a ovulation pattern in either post miscarriage or current cycle. So everybody's different. I suggest you use OPKs to try to work out when you start to ovulate again. And try to manage your own expectations. The internet is full of people who got pregnant straightaway without a period in between, which got my hopes up. But I'm just trying to be patient now- onwards and upwards! I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks in early February. I took some time off TTC to let my body recover afterwards but I think I ovulated straight away. They ask that you have one cycle after a miscarriage for your body to recover fully and for them to date a pregnancy better. If you feel up to it, go again with regular sex, you are meant to be super fertile after a miscarriage but if I'm honest I didn't feel ready. I had complications with my health that lead to the mmc and so I had to wait for everything to level. Good luck and I'm so sorry for your loss. Xxx

AF has just arrived, 28 days after my MC, little bit gutted because we did ttc this cycle even though I MC, Will try again this cycle, at least I know when I'm going to ovulate I was a bit unsure after my MC but back to normal this month

Sorry to hear that OP. I after my miscarriage I concieved the next cycle. I had meant to wait a cycle but got a bit confused and ended up pregnant straight away anyway! The pregnancy was a little trickier to date otherwise it was smooth sailing.

Did that pregnancy end successful? I just had early miscarriage at 4 week bleeding has stopped want to try again how did it end for you? I’m worried and thinking maybe to wait for a period please reply
