Stories of Clomid hope needed

So I'm currently on cycle 3 of clomid - 150mg.

Took 50mg and follicles were still 7mm, took 100mg and follicles were 12mm (slightly hopeful)

I'm clinging to the hope that this means it's working and that 150mg will definitely work.

Has anyone else been in this situation? I really need clomid success stories tonight xxx

150mg worked for me, very similar situation but i can't remember exact follicle sizes. It was a very bumpy ride. The nhs allow 6 cycles of clomid, my consultant then went on to give me another 3 cycles but these were off licence (there was very little research on the effect of clomid on the body after 6 cycles). I feel pregnant on the last cycle and have birth to ds two weeks ago.
There were times when I really felt like giving up and it took every part of me to carry on but I'm so glad I did.
There is hope

I had 7 cycles of Clomid, going from 50mg to 100mg. For me, I alternated cycles between it working (i.e. I ovulated) and it not working, which was weird. Fell pregnant on the 7th (which would probably have been the last before moving on to different treatments) cycle and I'm now 26 weeks.

Just wanna placemark as I'm currently on my 2nd cycle of 50mg clomid & would love to hear some success stories too!

I'm on cycle 3 of Clomid. First 2 were 50mg, not sure if I ovulated on the second cycle. Now on 100mg and hoping that will make the difference. I'm not being monitored so have no idea of follicles etc, I might look into having a private scan next cycle. What day(s) would be best?

mistletoe how many cycles of 150mg did you take? This is my 3rd of 6 ... but I have heard of quite a few ladies who are given more than 6 rounds now...

Rien I get scanned CD10 but they've also scanned me on CD14 and CD18 to check I wasn't ovulating late (I wasn't ovulating st all so they didn't see anything)

I have a Clomid baby, now 10. I got pregnant on my 6th cycle. I did a lot of monitoring of my cycle which helped give me a sense of control. It's tough, I send you lots of love and strength.

Wow! 10! So just because I'm only on round 3 still means I've got plenty of chances I guess?!

I have been feeling really sick this time taking clomid, especially first thing in the morning (I take them at night) has/did anyone else had/have these symptoms?

Thanks elly I am CD22 today. I think I might have on Saturday or Sunday as I had a positive OPK on Friday. Im not getting any monitoring at all, just was given a prescription for 6 cycles and a appointment to go back in 6 months if I'm not pregnant so it's all guess work for me!

The way I looked at is was Clomid (when it worked) induced ovulation, so gave us approximately the same chance as a couple with normal fertility to fall pregnant each cycle. It wouldn't be unusual in those circumstances not to conceive after 3 cycles.

I'm currently 4 wks+1 today after round 2 of clomid 50mg days 2-6 hospital near sure I have only 1 open tube after a reversal last January so there is hope for you on clomid I really thought I'd never be pregnant again

Thats true intentions - and seeing as I haven't actually ovulated on clomid yet my chances are nil!!

That must be so difficult happy, the scans I have are a pain but at least they could identify that 50mg and 100mg weren't working and push me to the higher dose quite quickly..!

Congrats alter! That must be an amazing feeling. Did you ovulate on your first round of clomid too or just your second?x

I don't no as was just giving a prescription for 2 months @50mg and 2 months @ 100mg and if not pregnant after 6 months to come back and see what b next step they didn't do bloods r scans just handed script and off with you
