Ovulation tests.... tell me what you know...

Hi all,
With irregular periods some 4 weeks, sometimes going 3 months without a period we have decided to get some ovulation strips to help out a little..... we were beginning to somewhat loose the "fun" element of ttc

What do I need to know about them?!

How do I use them?
Where do I get them?
How does this all work?

I use the clear blue strips, wee into a lid, often on my hands too, stick in the strip and wait for the smiling face, if I get it right with my two apps I can get those smiley faces on two days, sometimes testing in the afternoon shows only one smiley face/one day.

As we're more serious that last 5months, we use these to make sure we did it those days consecutively in addition to every other day.

My friend of friend used these once and got her BFP, we've been doing this almost all year...

Hey Alpine I've used the one step ones. If you're irregular then you'll probably use more so the cheapie ones could be more cost effective. I found them easy to use, I'd just pee into an old cup and then dip the stick in and wait for the time limit. My ov is very regular so I'd start at cd11. As yours isn't you might want to start a little earlier?

I haven't seen my bfp yet but the positive OPKs corresponded with my temp rise so I'm pretty sure they were accurate.
