Is this a positive one step ovulation strip??

I think it is??

I'm all over the place. Currently on cd47, last two cycles were 34 days but average before now has been 29 days. I've had 2 bfn over the last week or so.

Decided to test with the ovulation strip today because I've been having a LOT of clear discharge and twinges in my right ovary. Is it possible to totally skip a period and go into ovulation as normal??

Have you got a pic?

ElizabethLemon · 14/08/2017 16:20

Oh Jesus, it would help if I added the photo 🙄!

I think it has to be as dark or darker as the control line, but that looks like it's nearly there so go for it! I'm all over the shop cycle-wise too, it's making TTC bloody miserable!

BifsWif · 14/08/2017 16:25

No, it's not a positive but it could be leading that way.

Just out of interest when did you last do a PG test? Some people swear you get lines on OV tests when you're pregnant....

ElizabethLemon · 14/08/2017 16:27

Thanks mrs, the packet had either no line or a faint line for negative but also a faint-ish line for positive so a bit confusing!

It's horrible isn't it, I feel like I don't know whether I'm coming or going.

Bif I last did one on Thursday. I've been using cheapies from Sainsbury's, I don't know whether it's worth buying a CB and trying again. I've got swollen boobs and lower back pain but that could mean anything!

I went to the GP about it today and am being checked for thyroid stuff, and sent for a scan. I hate not knowing what's going on down there!

Lalalax3 · 14/08/2017 16:30

If you're irregular I recommend getting a bunch of ICs and doing one a week.

ElizabethLemon · 14/08/2017 16:37

Good luck mrs, I hope you get some answers or even better a bfp.

Annoyingly my cycles have always been very regular, it's only in the last few months that things have started to go weird. I've got a Drs appointment in early September but until then I'll just keep testing and try not to go too loopy.

Same here, only since I had a miscarriage in April.

BifsWif · 14/08/2017 16:43

Get a first response if you can x

ElizabethLemon · 15/08/2017 14:59

Me again, I've just taken a CB test (couldn't find a first response) and I can see a very very faint line but I don't know if I'm imaging it. Will add a pic. To be honest I just want to know what's going on either way now!

Bumping with another pic of the incredibly faint line that I'm not even sure exists. One minute I'm sure there's something then the next I can't see a thing 😖.

I think you need to get a FRER and test again first thing tomorrow. 😉

ElizabethLemon · 15/08/2017 18:07

Does that stand for first response early response mouse?? (Sorry I am new to this!)

The thing is my last period was 48 days ago! With my 1st pg I had a very strong line without fmu and I would've been about 6 weeks pg then, though that's a rough estimate as it wasn't a planned pg and I wasn't paying much attention to those things (unlike now!!)

Yes it is. Those tests are the most sensitive. I don't really trust blue dye tests unless the lines are very very clear. X

Lalalax3 · 15/08/2017 21:21

I've had a faint line like that on a CB that was a false positive.

Also, like you, my period still hasn't arrived. And I just tested negative on a IC. Bloody bodies!!!

ElizabethLemon · 15/08/2017 21:45

Lala, sorry we're both still so up in the air! Dh was suggesting getting an emergency appointment at the gps tomorrow but really I don't know if there's much they could do?

We're off on holiday at the weekend and really I'd like to know what's going on before then but don't think that's very likely. I have to admit I've had a couple of glasses of wine tonight which I feel guilty about but also feel were necessary!

Lala, are you ttc no.1 or do you have already have dc?

OP posts:
ElizabethLemon · 15/08/2017 21:46

Do you already have* 🙄

OP posts:
Lalalax3 · 15/08/2017 21:52

I have one DS who's about to turn 3.

The GP wouldn't be able to give you any answers before you go on holiday. The most they can do is refer you for a blood test and/or ultrasound.

ElizabethLemon · 15/08/2017 21:58

That's what I thought, dh thinks it's better to get the ball rolling now. I'll see what the surgery says in the morning.

I've been looking after my friends baby today and due to look after him again tomorrow and while it's been lovely, I think it's been making me feel more anxious.

I hate blue dye tests, they are well known for giving false positives. Boots sell FRER if you can get there, they're one of the most sensitives tests I believe.

ElizabethLemon · 15/08/2017 22:25

Thanks Bif, I'm going to boots tomorrow and will test early on Thursday if I don't get to the Drs before then. I am sceptical though because at 48cd I'd expect a strong positive on any test if I was pg, but who knows. Fingers crossed!

You could have ovulated late maybe?

Best of luck!
