Pregnant?

miscarried June 23rd 2017 (12 weeks) as we found out baby stopped developing and heartbeat stopped at 8 weeks. This was almost 7 weeks ago, I've had no cramps, no bleeding, no period, no pains of any sort so out of curiosity done one clear blue digital 2 days ago getting positive 1-2 weeks and again this morning getting positive 2-3 weeks, would this be a new pregnancy or hormones from the miscarriage, any advice?

Do you mean that you've not had a period since the miscarriage one or nothing at all since you found out the pregnancy hadn't worked out? If the first option then this is probably a new pregnancy. Fingers crossed for you.

I mean I bled when I misscarried, since then I haven't had a period or anything since at all

New pregnancy. HCG is increasing!

Huge congrats!

I really hope so, I visited my gp last week and I honestly feel no further forward all he did was another pregnancy test (positive) then said wait 6 weeks and do another one, just staying sceptical not bring back baby things or buying anything till down the line this time, hopefully I am and hopefully safe and full pregnancy this time 💕💕

I would say this is a new pregnancy.

Did you do a pregnancy test after the MC bleeding had happened?

I would say that this is a new pregnancy. Can you self-refer to the midwives or contact the EPU so that they can get you in to do an early scan to help with dating?

I would definitely agree this is a new pregnancy - as another poster mentioned, your hcg is increasing and this wouldn't be happening if they were leftover hormones from your last pregnancy. I'm not even sure why your gp is asking you to do another test in 6 weeks... I would try to relax, take this as a new pregnancy and try and contact your epu if you're worried.

I'm in a similar position to you - recently got a bfp after having a mc with no af in between. I know for sure this is a new pregnancy due to symptoms and so am just going to book a normal booking appointment with midwife at 6 weeks (if I make it that far), and just tell them I'm unsure of dates when I go to the appointment. I guess it depends whether you feel you need the reassurance of an early scan to confirm? I'm currently burying my head in the sand!

So basically I took myself to a&e 22nd June with bleeding they told me everything was fine cause a pregnancy test came back positive and to go home, so I rang my midwife arranged a same day scan found out baby had no heart beat and stopped developing at 8 weeks. Got admitted to hospital 23rd as insane pain and had to go through the labour, was bleeding for 1/2 weeks then stopped done a pregnancy test after leaving hospital (negative) then was in hospital for sprained back 17th July done a preg test then (negative) since miscarriage I've had no bleeding/cramps nothing, however no pregnancy symptoms either so done preg test a week ago (positive) and then 2 clear blues (positive: 1-2 weeks) two days later (positive 2-3 weeks) surely it can't be hormones from the miscarriage? Help? Just scared to get my hopes up and my gp has given me nothing to go on except to say "just wait and see"

As I said earlier, it really does not sound like the previous pregnancy - you had two negative tests since then. Your hcg can't go down to undetectable levels and then go back up again. You miscarriaged, and now you're pregnant again. When I was unsure of dates in my first pregnancy, they dated it from my last negative test so I'd go from that to get a vague idea of how far along in this new pregnancy you are. As I also said before, I don't know why they're telling you to wait and see when you've had 2 negative tests since your miscarriage and clearly rising hcg, as evidenced by the clear blue tests. I would just be dating this new pregnancy at around 4-5 weeks, right where the clear blue test is putting you. Please try to relax and follow the usual procedure for booking in with the midwife. This is a new pregnancy.

Thank you for your advice I'm just gonna follow procedure with the midwife hopefully they will be able to keep closer eye with what happened last time thanks again 💕

Not at all. I noticed you've posted in the ttc after miscarriage thread - lovely ladies in there so I'm confident they'll all tell the same thing I did and you'll begin to feel a little more reassured.

I hope they're able to keep a closer eye as well but I know mine won't Sad no extra scans or anything unless any bleeding or significant problems. You do need some reassurance though I think - you could try contacting your local epu? When does booking in happen with the midwife?
