We have been trying for 6 months, we did everything including temping and OPKs and it was getting me so down. I went to the doctor and she told me to take a month off from trying which we did, so I just didn't expect this at all!!! I only tested cause I ate some chicken and it tasted horrid. We have barely had sex this month cause of our shifts so I just didn't think it would happen!!

I'm pregnant and completely off chicken too! I'm so pleased for you both x

Also doea anyone know whether these test have evaporation lines. I've heard that these type of tests never have evaporation lines. My test looks the same as yours OP and @AmiShaw so really hoping it'll get darker. So exciting!

Well if mine from the past three days are evap lines they are appearing in exactly the same please , as thick as the control line and getting darker every day .. of it comes up within 5 mins then it shouldn't be evap

My understanding is that if the line is pink then it's not an evap. An evap would be grey/shadowy. Only reason for any pink to show up at all is HCG. I read something about the science of it once!

@dowhatyouwish I am about 10dpo I think! I promised myself no testing until late AF cause BFPs get me so down. But the chicken thing made me wonder. Plus my boobs are massive. I always have large sore breasts before AF but this time they actually hurt to sleep with so that also crossed my mind. Because we decided to relax this month I've drunk loads of caffiene in coffee and I've had two heavy nights of drinking. I wonder if just feeling happier may have helped? Last 6 months I've felt increasingly upset about TTC it just really got to me. The doctor said she would do some tests so I completely relaxed cause I thought I would have an answer soon.

@mctufty that makes sense, to be honest I had heard off evap lines and this positive line took ages to appear so I just thought it could be an evap or something.

@talonofthehawk yeah I took one bit of chicken and spat it out, it tasted awful. And I love chicken normally!!
