Sudden changes in cycle, confused about ovulation?!

We are not actively ttc but havent been using protection much over the last few months. I would like to be pregnant soon but am a bit worried about my current cycle.

I use Clue to track my cucumber. Average length has always been 29 days and I thought i could spot ovulation quite well due to pain etc. and it always matched up with what the app predicted. However my last few cycles have been longer, the last two were 34 days and am currently on day 39. I also have a feeling I've been ovulating later than the app suggests and symptoms haven't been as apparent.

I know ovulation tests exist, are they worth the ££? When would I start testing?

Also I'm a bit worried about the sudden change in my cycles and was reading earlier that longer cycles could mean that ovulation hasn't occurred at all. Is it's worth seeing a doctor at this point? I'm 28 if that makes any difference.

I laughed too hard at tracking your cucumber 😂

On a more serious note I would get the one step ovulation tests from Amazon they are relatively cheap and will help you track more accurately. I used to use clue but found it was inaccurate. I now use ovia which for me is a bit more accurate. I'm 29 and have cycles between 30-32 days and ovulate at different times each month!!

Thanks Mrs Jones, I'll have a look at the one step ovulation tests. Will also give ovia a go.

We did get a lovely cucumber in our shopping this week but unfortunately I don't think it's going to be much help in this department 😝!

Actually crying at Tracking your cucumber.
I'm no help unfortunately, but I do use ovia and find it accurate so far!

I use the Glo app to monitor my cycle and I also use the One Step cheapies. I went one month with the expensive digitals but much preferred the cheapies.
