Possible to conceive when cervix is low?

My normally 31 day cycle has gone out of whack, to the extent that I think I ovulated on CD 28 (opk+ plus cramps and ewcm) and then dtd on CD 29.

BUT when we were shagging my cervix felt really low - it was painful as if I was being jabbed in the cervix the whole time.

Did we miss the boat or is it possible to still conceive once my cervix lowered after ovulation?

Thanks!

I don't know if the position of the cervix is 100% a good indication of ovulation. You're better off relying on your ewcm, bbt and OPKs. If you'd already ovulated it's likely that the cervix would be closed and hard but I'm not sure about its position. Sorry to hear that you were in pain, I've never heard of that happening due to being in the post ovulation phase.

To answer your question though, from what you have said I would say no you have not missed the boat.

Thanks for that, and yeah it wasn't pleasant! I've read that it is hard, closed and low after ovulation but didn't know if the swimmers could still get through.. it was only 24 hours after my smiley face so hoping I didn't miss it. Dh was away otherwise it would have been sooner!
