So as the title suggests.. they have stopped.

I was wondering if anyone could offer me some advice? I don't really have anyone I can talk to..

We have been trying since February and nothing has happened. Last month my period came a week early sorry tmi it was weird.. like a really light bleed and I thought it was implantation but it carried on for several days.

I'm now ten days late for my period (if that bleed is counted as a period)

I'm not pregnant as I've done six tests and all bfn Angry

I've made an appointment with my GP but I recall him saying I can't be referred for a year after trying. This is impossible though as I have no idea where I'm up to...

Has anyone had this and been prescribed something to regulate their periods?

How old are you OP, have you lost a lot of weight or underweight?
My gp told me these can be a factor in why they have stopped or become irregular.
I'm sure your gp will do hormone tests to see if this has anything to do with it.
I know it's easy to say not to worry, but it may just be a one off.

Thank you for responding @gillybeanz

Well my weight has crept up but I'm SlimmingWorld trying to bring it back.

I'm 29 and I just feel something isn't quite right but feel I won't be taken seriously..

I track everything with an app which I will show him when I go. I was also told a few years ago after a cyst burst on my ovaries that I have polycystic ovaries but even though I mentioned this to him before he didn't have any suggestions Sad

I hope they give you some answers OP, and sorry I have no pearls of wisdom to offer.
Will bump this and hope somebody else comes along who can make some suggestions.
Hope all goes well with your gp Thanks

Have you recently come off any hormonal birth control? This can effect cycles for up to a year. I would see what the GP says but they probably won't investigate it unless you miss consecutive periods. Good luck!!

LunaNightSky I know exactly how you feel Flowers it's horrible.
I lost some weight and my last period was in May by the end of May I had convinced my husband we should start trying for a baby, we then had a few months of nothing.
I went to the GP about 2 weeks ago and they did blood tests to check my hormones blood glucose and other things (all normal). The advice was don't stress to much and just wait and see.... well I then had a bleed on Sunday which I was kind of hoping was implantation bleeding on the off chance that I had got pregnant Hmm but still passing brown light discharge now Confused
There are lost of reasons your periods can just stop, change of diet, exercise, sleep pattern, stress including worrying about why you haven't had a period!!
Go and have a word with your GP and get them to do some bloods.
It's a difficult time Flowers

Thank you guys for your responses Easter Smile

I ended up having another strange bleed on supposedly ovulation day and had a brown watery bleed and spotting (sorry tmi) my period was 15 days late.

I saw my GP today and he's going to arrange a scan and swabs. He also said he will do bloods and arrange the dye test to check my tubes ect and a semen analysis for DP and then he'd be happy to refer us to IVF.

I'm feeling really happy and relieved someone is taking me seriously. He's amazing!

Thank you all again Grin
