39 years old and TTC for 2 years.

3 chemical pregnancies (natural conception)
1 chemical pregnancy (IVF)

Have slightly underactive thyroid and raised anticardiolipin antibodies (APS) which causes blood clotting. On levothyroxine, and aspirin and heparin when bfp.

Have frozen embryos so doctor is going to give me low dose steroid like Prednisolone for next transfer.

Has anyone else here taken Prednisolone after repeated early miscarriages?

Did it work for you?

When did you start taking it? My doctor says day of transfer.

What mg did you take?

What were the side effects?

Any advice?

Hi, I took Prednisolone during my successful FET in our 5th round of ivf. With each fresh transfer I got a bfp, but then started bleeding after a couple of days. I had no hope whatsoever that a FET would work, but I took steroids for 4 days over ovulation & lo and behold it worked! I think I started it 2 days before I ov'd, but I can't be sure as it was 4 years ago...
I had no side effects, but actually swallowing it was very difficult as it tastes disgusting 😂 I would chew a mouthful of cereal, then pop it on my tongue before I swallowed! I'm afraid I can't remember the dosage - what have you been told to take? 50mg rings a bell but I could be completely wrong...
