Hi everyone. I'm (very) newly TTC and looking into apps for monitoring my cycle. I've heard a bit about Natural Cycles and wondered if anyone else uses it / would recommend it? Thank you :)

I thought that the app was focused on being a mobile contraception so I avoided it. I use Flo and Ovia for TTC.

I'm about two weeks into using it - as contraception atm, but with plans to ttc early next year -

Can't really comment on how effective it is long term! But it's a good option for me at the moment, as I have a lot of problems with hormonal contraceptives.

I also imagine it's an easy way to get into temping etc. if you're currently ttc?

Fertility Friend probably does the same stuff and is absolutely free. I struggle to see what Natural Cycles thinks it can charge for, when there are so many apps out there that do it all for free...

SweetheartTreacleTart · 02/08/2017 18:24

I agree @curliegirlie If you're paying for it I think that's slightly cheeky. I wonder what makes it so special/different...

Thanks all. Yes, I did think that there must be something different about it considering there is a cost! Good to know the free ones are just the same.

I use Glow

NimbleKnitters · 02/08/2017 23:10

I'm using it!

Have been using it since Jan, so that it would get to know my cycle before we start trying (this cycle!)

I like how user friendly it is. This is my prediction screen for this month - it has stats on my cycle, tells me when to test and tracks my temp.

Hi @nimbleknitters that's great! So would you recommend it? I'm so excited to be TTC! Good luck with your first month :)Grin

@npn1989 I'd recommend it for ease of use.

Can't yet comment on accuracy, but I now have the clearblue fertility monitor thing, which will hopefully tally up on ovulation dates
