Is this a positive OPK?

TTC #1 and using OPKs for the forst time this month. I have EWCM and the line is darker than yesterday - but is it dark enough to be a positive OPK? Its a mid stream test if that helps

I'm not sure if it's the lighting but I would say that's positive and you should hopefully ovulate soon.

Yeah it looked the same in all the lighting. Ever so slightly lighter than the control line, but still a darkish pronounced line. Not sure how helpful these OPKs are going to be... x

The OPK is only telling you that your body is preparing to ovulate and therefore if you are going to ovulate then now is a good time to DTD. I'm pretty sure if you were to do the test again later today the two lines will be the same colour or even the test darker than the control. I would say that your surge has begun or is about to begin for sure. If you want to know for sure that you have actually ovulated then temping will help or some people get ultrasounds to confirm it.

Wow thank you SweetheartTrecaleTart! I temp as well, but I've been curious to work out how many days before my temp rise I'm ovulating. I also see a temp rise any day between cd12-cd20. I'll do another OPK tomorrow and hopefully it'll be really dark ☺ thank you x

Looking at my opks from the last 3 days, I think my surge was yesterday - so glad we DTD. Just got to wait for temp rise to confirm now! X
