TTC after contraceptive implant

Hi

I've recently had my contraceptive implant taken out. It was my 3rd consecutive one totalling almost 9 years with it in and I didn't have a period in this time.

We are now TTC and I was wondering if anyone has experience of this as id like to know how long it took you to ovulate or menstruate?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I conceived 4 months after getting mine out after 12 years with them in. Period came back regularly after about a month...I only had small irregular ones while on the implant. Just had another one out as I'm going to try again...good luck to us all! Smile

I had 2, so 6 years. I had it taken out at the beginning of December 2015 and I was pregnant by the end of April 2016.

Im not sure how many times I'd ovulated in that time, I wasn't checking. But you can buy cheap ovulation strip tests from Amazon. I'd bought them to start testing for ovulation in May. But didn't need to. Good luck!

I had mine out in February after 4 years on it, used to have random periods throughout but nothing consistent.

First period came on after about 7 weeks which was the lonnnnngest wait!! Then regular as clockwork since then.

Got my positive test yesterday so took approximately 6 months Grin

Ovulated after 14 days of it coming out, pregnant straight away. Had had implants for 6 years.

Both times I had my implant out I was pregnant within 6 weeks.
