When do I test?

I'm actually on contraception but was told 2 days until effective. We had unprotected sex 2 days later but I want to test just to be sure. But when do I test? How long after the deed?

I'd say you can completely trust the test three weeks later (because sperm can live for up to five days and then test two weeks later...).

@physicskate thank you, I honestly would love to be pregnant but DP doesn't think he feels finically stable enough yet hence contraception for now
