I was on duculax liquid pre pregnancy and up to around 8weeks. Unfortunately, although my doctor said I could continue it in a lower dosage throughout pregnancy, baby did not agree with it. It made me horrendously sick, it came back up straight away.

I've previously tried : movicol, duxulax tablets, benefiber, lactulose, and various other fiber sachets and bowel simulators.

No matter what I do in terms in food, nothing helps.

It's been 5 days and while thats not longest I've gone for without a movement it's really starting to make me ill. I feel quite sick and my stomach is hard and tender.

I'm still passing gas so doesn't appear to be any blockages.

Im uping my water intake today in the blind hope that it helps along with warm compresses on my sides around bump (not too hot)

Is there ANYTHING else anyone can recommend? I feel like I'm running out of room in there and it's not pleasant.

I plan to call my GP tomorrow when they open should nothing happen. But for today, any help?

Suppositories (glycerine). Safe for pregnancy. Can but otc in any chemist. Works fairly quickly too. And bonus won't make you feel queasy etc etc.
I've had to use them fair few time in pregnancy especially as was told not to take oral laxatives.
Hope you get relief soon!

I've had them, they just come back out as water. They don't move anything. I think I "back up" quite high in my bowels.

You poor thing! Sorry if you've already tried this but of all things, prune juice really helped me. Tastes awful but did the job and baby seemed to like it! Hope you feel better soon.

Dried apricots are really good too.
