Hello, I'm trying with these opks last month everyday was negative, but I did get a preg + but then had a early mc a few days later.
I'm now on day 10 today shud be ovulating as my cycles are about 24 days,
I know these are all negative but do you think the line is getting stronger? All 3 have been taken today, morning lunch and night,

Does it get stronger? Not sure if I've missed it, or not ovulated yet,
Thanks for your help

Assuming the one on the right was this morning, then yes, they're getting stronger. Get DTD.

Sorry for your loss. Flowers

Yes the right one was this morning, if it's the same by the morning what will that mean ?

I wish this was straight forward,

If I've missed it , would the line still get stronger even if a negative test overall? Xx

Are your cycles regular Molly?

Possibly you have an extremely short LH surge that came after your line this morning. Or possibly given all those tests are negative it just hasn't come yet.

Personally I have never had a line that strong as part of my base level LH but maybe it could be that your surge just hasn't come yet.

Next cycle can you afford the clear blue smiley faces? Pricey but they do avoid this very frustrating guessing game. I've splashe out on the dual hormone ones.

Sorry for your loss Flowers

I'm using these exact same tests, mine were all negative yesterday and it seemed as though the line was getting fainter and fainter. My first test this morning was positive. I would say the first strip in the second pic is almost positive and then the last is obv negative. It might be that your surge was very short? However i would also go by how your body is behaving? Are you getting EWCM? That's a good sign of ovulation too.

Hi thanks for responding,

They were all taken today , however the last one was only taken an hour after the 3rd one, maybe I shud of waited a few more hours,
If the surge is only a short time, do I still ovulate for the whole 24/48 hours still, or will it be shorter ?

Thanks xx

I think all the surge does is lead to the egg being released, I don't think it has any impact on how long the egg survives to be fertilised. I'm not a doctor but that's my understanding!

Also bear in mind that last cycle could have caused a change in how this cycle goes...

After my last chemical pregnancy, my ovulation was delayed by a week.

Thanks everyone x

You don't ovulate for 48 hours, you know that right? The OPK show you surges which can lead to ovulation. But it's not a guarantee. The only true indication is to temp or a positive pregnancy test. OPK only say you MIGHT ovulate SOON. I have 25 day cycles and ovulated on CD11 this cycle. It may be that you have short surges or are missing them. The line will not necessarily get darker. They are all negative OPK in your pic. The most important thing is that you should be having lots of sex from CD 7-16 to cover all your bases but especially from 7-12 since you have short cycles. The other issue is that your 24 days dips just under the normal bracket so maybe discuss this with your gp as you may have a luteal phase defect or not able to grow good eggs in the time before you ovulate. (Im in the same boat with 25 day cycles)

Good luck.
