To fly or not to fly before 12 weeks preg

I plan to take a trip to London from Dublin in Oct. (1 hr approx flight).

At the moment I'm tcc and it I'm neg this month it will mean that when I fly in Oct I'll be less than 12 weeks pregant.

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks

I don't what the formal advice is, but as part of my job I travelled alot. With my DS in the the first 12 weeks, I went to Mexico, Brazil, US, Germany, Italy, France and Singapore (not bragging, in fact travelling is ultra boring and lonely, just showing that the flight lengths ranged from short to long)

No ill effects, an 1 hour flight should be fine. With this preganancy I am flying on the 36 week deadline day.

How if you feel uncomfortable with the thought then change your plans

By the way goodluck with the TTC'ing

I wouldn't worry, is such a short flight and at 12 weeks the risks I suposse must be minimal. Of course if you have had difficult pregnancies/miscarriages before I would consult it with the doctor.

I flew long and short haul in the first trimester and short haul the whole time up to 35 weeks. No ill effects.

Thanks a million ladies so if I get a bfn on Monday week I can ttc until it works for me. I have a ds and travelled to Amsterdam when I was 12 weeks and had no hassels. Well you've made up my mind for me. Thanks
