I did a search because I am not sure and got mixed results, so interested what people on this board think at this moment in time.

What do you count as the start of your AF, spotting? When does spotting become AF..?Confused

I'm trying to track using Ovia but not really sure what dates to use Sad

During my ivf I was told that CD1 is when AF starts in full flow. If full flow starts in the morning, that is CD1, but if it starts in the afternoon or evening, then the following day is counted as CD1. HTH Smile

I personally start CD1 when full flow comes regardless of the time of day. Spotting usually I log as spotting in FF and then light medium or heavy flow. You can usually tell as it's blood rather than watery when you wipe.

I do the same as Mouse, CD1 is when full flow starts. I get days of spotting every month before AF arrives 'properly' and was counting day 1 as first day I saw blood which wasn't accurate. On Ovia you can record spotting, this will be useful to see how many days you spot before each period.
