How reliable are the Tesco tests? I had what I thought was my period at the weekend and tested this morning because I didn't feel right and got a feint line. Is it likely to be true

It looks weirdly thin... if you're past af it should be darker I woulda thought! Digital?

ShortThing94 · 27/07/2017 13:09

These are my Tesco tests from the day my period was due. I'm now 31 weeks pregnant.

That's a positive. Congrats. Smile

I thought that about the thickness too. It's darker irl. Going to have to get another test I think

Shortthing a thin line is normal then for Tesco hpts? Omg I feel sick.

Yes, all my Tesco (5 Blush) lines were thin. As you can see from my pic I also did 2 digi ones. When was Af due?

Perpetualstateofchaos · 27/07/2017 13:23

Omfg! Was due Friday did text Sunday am and was bfn then had a bleed that day. Only did a test this morning as I felt odd and breasts are still sore and swollen.

BunloafAndCrumpets · 27/07/2017 13:31

Could it have been implantation bleed?

Perpetualstateofchaos · 27/07/2017 13:35

I suppose it could have been ive never had it with any of my pregnancies. I thought that was just light spotting with mild cramps. This was like a light period and lots of really bad cramps. Sorry for tmi i'm really confused.

OP posts:
ShortThing94 · 27/07/2017 13:36

I had a two day very light bleed in December which I thought was my period so thought nothing of it as Id just come off the pill.

Come mid Jan I was getting cramps and feeling like I was going to come on, but the day I was due nothing happened so I took the Tesco tests and then digi the day after.

Perpetualstateofchaos · 27/07/2017 13:43

I'm going to have to get another test for tomortow. We've been trying for ages and have had 4 miscarriages in 18 months. None of the tests have been as strong as this one and it's darker now than when I took the photos it's about the same colour as the control line. It's be amazing if it sticks it's our anniversary at the weekend.

ShortThing94 · 27/07/2017 13:48

Do it.

Fingers crossed for You! X

Perpetualstateofchaos · 27/07/2017 17:21

I've got another test ready for the morning.

OP posts:
BunloafAndCrumpets · 28/07/2017 09:02

How'd it go?

SleepFreeZone · 28/07/2017 09:06

The Tesco tests have always been very accurate for me.

IThoughtYouSaidGin · 28/07/2017 09:13

I had an Evap just like your picture OP, it came up within the time limit too.

BUT

I've also had a positive that was a lot more pigmented (is that the right term?) on one side.

Both with Tesco HPT's and different cycles obviously

Perpetualstateofchaos · 28/07/2017 09:18

Got a faint positive on a first response it probably didn't help I was up all night so fmu wasn't as concentrated.

Perpetualstateofchaos · 28/07/2017 09:25

Uthought thers no mistaking the blue colour of it

OP posts:
physicskate · 28/07/2017 09:37

Frer are pink dye...

MsJuniper · 28/07/2017 09:41

I wouldn't even call that faint. I had an implantation bleed with DS that I assumed was my period but went away after a day.

Perpetualstateofchaos · 28/07/2017 09:45

I know they are psychic I was responding to I thought regarding the Tesco.

Thank you msjuniper I've still got yesterday's test Nd it's clear as day now.

Following this thread with interest. I did a tesco test this morning and got a line which looks like your second photo, went and got a clearblue digital which says not pregnant. Others on mn say digitals aren't as sensitive so now im just confused too.

Perpetualstateofchaos · 28/07/2017 16:05

I'm hoping to get out to get another test today don't fancy taking my dcs with me.

Jelly I'm testing again in the morning so will update then. Got more Tesco ones. The digital ones so need a higher concentration of hcg

OP posts:
Princesspinkgirl · 28/07/2017 22:05

If your period is late a digital will show up

Perpetualstateofchaos · 28/07/2017 22:53

I've never used a digital
