Trying for a boy.. Any recommendations

Ofcourse xxx as long as little one is healthy I am happy :)

But we are going to give the 'waiting until last minute' method, to try for a boy - even if just for a few months.

This method you wait until right before you (think) you are ovulating, as male sperm are supposedly faster and die out quicker, so in theory this give the little male sperms more chance.

Anyone tried this with any success? xxxxxxxx

I don't think that works...

I conceived two boys, one from sex on day of ovulation, the other from sex six days before ov. Based purely on that I think shettles is nonsense :)

It doesn't work, sorry! Been proven to have eerrrr a 50% success rate

The other method (Whelan) is slightly better but it still only has a 60% success rate so not much better than 50/50. You have to take your temperature for this one. www.verywell.com/the-whelan-method-of-sex-selection-2758845

Well, it's probably just coincidence, but I don't mind telling you that I have three boys and I am certain they were all conceived on the day of ovulation.

Not sure if anything actually works but have friends with lots of boys and they reckon that they had sex on or around ovulation with no sex beforehand and ate a lot of crisps, junk food etc and had an orgasm during sex.

The people I know who had girls ate a lot of fresh fruit and veg, a lot of dairy and no meat, had sex every day up until 3 days before ovulation with no orgasm.

Did you skip GCSE science?

My boys were conceived on the day of ovulation too.

Well, technically, everyone conceives on the day of ovulation cos that's when there's an egg. You're always most likely to 'conceive', if you count the having sex as the conception, when you have sex on the day you ovulate.

The idea you can sex-select (or predict sex based on any form of old wives' tale) is basically piffle. Unfortunately it's piffle that refuses to die, because a 50% success rate at getting what you want means there will always be a load of people willing to swear blind that they stood on their head for 3.3 seconds after sex while playing a didgeridoo and eating pineapple and OMG IT WORKED!

I read somewhere that a diet high in cereal was more likely to help you conceive a boy. I mainlined cornflakes and had DS.
