what day do you count as ovulation day?

i never know how to count dpo!

i got a static smiley on the clearblue dual hormone opk on cd15 - which means ovulation looks likely to happen within what? 12 - 36 hours? so big time frame - could be cd15, 16, or even 17.

today im cd19.
how many dpo am i? it really confuses me.

I temp and use Fertility Friend so it tells me what dpo I am

no i dont temp. i work a really odd shift pattern including nights so i dont think it would be reliable? some days im up at 5 am and others im up at 4pm.
i use ovia not ff.
im trying not to get too obsessed as i think that way madness lies - im 45 now and lost a baby girl last year - with her i got pg within 2 months of coming off pill and wasnt tracking at all.

I would maybe say cd 16 is ov day and count day 17 as 1dpo?

i always wondered how people knew the day they ovulated! ill count today as 3 dpo roughly.
im not testing unless af is late anyway. too disappointing! i did a superdrug early a few months ago and got really excited only for af to arrive a day later.
i just so want some good news.

Argh I've heard bad things about the superdrug ones.

Some people feel ovulation I haven't felt it since I was a teen but it is happening haha. I guess feeling for cervical mucous could help as it dries up after ovulation.

I get confused about this too. I always called the day of my positive opk the day of ovulation as the postitive is usually on FMU, and I sometimes have twinges later that day which might be psychological... BUT this month I have tempted for the first time, and I got a positive opk cd 15 but no temp rise until day 19! Maybe I ovulatervthan I thought... if so it might explain none pregnancy as to be honest DH and I can't be bothered to DTD every second day once we think ovulation has passed as we're sick of each other by then😉
