Worried about irregular periods and ttc #2

Hi all,

So I guess I am just looking for a little reassurance.

Dh and I are currently trying for #2. For our DD my periods were incredibly regular, and therefore identifying fertile window was relatively easy.

Since have DD my periods have been all over the place and are far from regular, and the same can be said for ewcm.

I am now 3 days late with a negative pregnancy test. Tbh I wasn't holding out much hope this month as things are so all over the place.

I'm just not really sure what to do, has anyone else been in this situation? How did you manage it and when did you conceive.

Thanks everyone!

This happened to me, 5-8 week cycles when thinking about no.2 and no other indicators but I must have ovulated at around day 14 anyway because I fell pregnant soon after starting to ttc and dating scan proved as much. A friend in the same situation swore by cheapy ebay ovulation sticks but I never needed them

I've always been hugely irregular, dd was a surprise but ds took some real effort. I'd recommend opks, the cheap ones off Amazon do the job. It'll take a couple cycles to see what a positive for you looks like, but then you know exactly how long since you ovulated, you can actually plan for your period! I sometimes use them now even though our family is complete so I have an idea when I'm due on.
