Just wondering what the earliest BFP anyone has had is or known of?

AF not due for another 10 days and dying to test!! Confused

8-9 Dpo was my earliest but AF would have been due no longer than 4 days later

Good luck! X

You can't get a positive until implantation, as your body won't make hcg until then. The earliest you can get a positive is generally 5 days before your period is due, about 8dpo.

Bear in mind, though, that a lot of fertilised eggs don't implant and a lot of implanted embryos are quickly lost. I think there's even some evidence that a very early positive might be less likely to stick. Think carefully about whether you want to torture yourself with 8dpo positives that disappear by 12dpo.

Thanks @Sluttybartfast. Still new to this, came off my pill end of Jan so 6 months in just getting a little anxious! Good to hear some home truths!

I'll hang fire with the POAS Smile

No need to get anxious. 6 months ttc is very 'average'. 80% of couples will get pregnant in a year. So I'd say you e got at least 6 more months before you might start to get anxious.

(I've been ttc about 16 months and we're just starting investigations).

@physicskate hope you get somewhere soon! Fingers crossed. Thanks. Trying to relax about it
