Ladies - I'm baffled, I need some advice. My period is late. My last period started on 16 June and my cycles after coming off the pill 6months ago are generally 24 days. So that makes me 8 days late? Or 4 days late if it were to miraculously be 28 days? My last period was also very short and light. I tested on 27 June, I was feeling v out of sorts, it was negative.

The doctor tested Wednesday 11 July also negative. I had a UTI so was at the doctor anyway. Still no period?! Do I keep testing? To not drip feed, we aren't trying but are being a bit half hearted about contraception.

Unfortunately it can go either way until you get AF or a BFP :(

Before we started officially trying my period was 10 whole days late - despite getting many negative tests I just couldn't believe it wasn't so - my periods have always always been 28 days pretty much exactly, and despite not deciding to try until a couple of months after this cycle I knew there had been opportunities for it to happen.

It is I must say statistically very unlikely at 8 days late with no positive tests you would go on to be pregnant, but I've seen women post saying it does happen.

What outcome are you hoping for? :)

Right off to boots I go. We get married next June so it would be a bit inconvenient dress wise but far from a disaster. I'd rather know sooner than later though, because obviously im carrying on with normal life, drinking, having lots of coffee etc.

I had that recently and ended up having a 45 day cycle!
