Would it be possible for AF to start 8dpo in a 28 day cycle? Help please!

Been lurking since CP in April. Thursday night, 8dpo, had red smudges of blood when I wiped. Then nothing. Got up this morning, had one red/brown smudge on wiping, faded to a beige brown, at one point looked seedy. Nothing for last few hours. So, normally AF begins like this mornings show, spots for a couple of days then flows. I have a 28 day cycle and ovulated on day 13. Would it be possible for AF to be starting so soon in the cycle? CD 21?

I have been feeling very queasy since Thursday, comes in waves, also hot flushes and extremely emotional! My boobs have felt bigger the last couple of days but no pain, starting to ache tonight though. Do normally get boob pain on lead up to AF.

I know this all looks good in theory for implantation etc, but I just cannot accept it will happen again! I'm old! I did test this morning. BFN!

What do you think, could it be AF starting to spot super early? Anyone have any thoughts for me?

Nobody can tell you really! Unfortunately it's just one of those situations where all you can do it wait and see. If your cycles are regular then it seems unlikely to be your period at 8dpo, and more likely to be something to do with implantation. It may be that your body hasn't yet built up enough HCG to be detected by a test, what type did you use?

Yea, it's just soooo hard waiting! Lol! Used a frer 9 and 10dpo, but I know it was too early as if it was implantation, I'm guessing it took place at possibly 7dpo. Have a CB digital I may use tonight.

Implantation usually occurs between dpo6 and 12 and a test won't show positive until a day or 2 after. I had a negative at 10dpo then a positive at 12dpo. So fingers crossed if you wait a few days, you will get a bfp. Good luck
