Luteal phase length & progesterone levels-confused person!

Is your luteal phase ALWAYS the same length?
I had a MMC in December, and my cycles have been a bit odd since then. Before-I had a 25 day cycle, dead on. Now-I USUALLY have a 25 day cycle, but have had a couple of very short (21 & 22 days) and this one was 23 days.
I started tracking temps a couple of months ago using fertlity friend, and one cycle I ovulated CD15 (which fits with EWCM & temps, FF gave me a solid line) but that month my luteal phase was only 7 days. The next month ovulation was CD14 (dashed line, but also fits with EWCM etc) and luteal phase was 11 days. This month I ovulated CD12, and LP was again 11 days.
I did start taking a B complex after the early period, could that have extended it so much, or was it just a freakishly short one? My B complex only contains 5mg of B6 so I don't think it will do much...

Also-I had progesterone bloods done this month on CD 22 (so 10dpo) and they were 10, but I started spotting that day, and period arrived 2 days later, so does that mean anything? Dr tried to tell me we all have 14 day luteal periods, and ovulate 14 days after period-which OBVIOUSLY cannot be happening in my case! When should I be aiming for bloods to be done? Halfway through LP so about 5-6dpo? I don't think they will redo them though, they don't even seem to think I need LH/FSH done at the start of period, and that those done that day will be OK...

Hotcookie so sorry about your MMC. I had an ectopic pregnancy last March and my cycles have been a mess since then. It is pretty common for your cycle to be out of whack after losing a pregnancy so for now I wouldn't worry if they are slightly irregular/different then before your pregnancy.

As regards your progesterone, I'm not a dr and don't wish to be rude, but I don't think your dr has a clue what they are talking about. Not everyone ovulates on day 14 or has a 14 day LP, it varies from woman to woman, even those with healthy cycles who aren't experiencing irregularities like you're experiencing. Not everyone has a 28 day cycle so this can't possibly be true as you know. I think that progesterone should be tested 7 days before your next period, which if you have an 11 day LP would be on 5 dpo.

Is it possible that on the month you had a 7 day LP you didn't actually ovulate? This might explain the short cycle. It's common to have the occasional cycle where you don't ovulate so that's not necessarily a problem but might explain that anomaly.

Thank you flash
I did try to query her logic, but to no avail. She has referred me to the infertility clinic (once again-bollocks to the "you are more fertile for 6 months after miscarriage" Sad) so once I see them I suppose I can ask them. I'm sure it will take so long I'll have another few months of charts anyway.

The month with a 7 day LP I had a definite thermal shift, I'm not sure if you get that without ovulation?

My periods are also shorter than before MMC (I had an ERPC) with 2 medium days, 1 light day, 1 day of spotting, then sometimes another day of light flow.

Any gp I have spoken to about my wacky periods has been beyond useless. It's not that they don't know what's wrong that bothers me it's that they don't seem to care that things clearly aren't right! I've given up if I'm honest, I'm being referred to the fertility clinic in October so I'm sort of just waiting until then. I really hope they can get to the bottom of what's going on for you. I completely sympathise with the fact that everything has changed in your body, I feel like I dont know my own body now All the doctors keep saying to me is "get pregnant and that will fix things" I don't know whether to laugh or cry when they say that!
